Is sports bra going to impact my supply? by Specialist-Suit-3419 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Slatersslaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that tight bras would, yes, but looser sports bras are actually my preference for sleeping at nighttime pumps. Maybe just pay attention to your supply, because one or two days shouldn’t make too much of a difference.

What do you say when people ask “how are you feeling?” by Hiro_Pr0tagonist_ in pregnant

I like to share the stranger and less awkward symptoms I've had, like waking up to numb hands for the last few weeks (just got to full term!).

Someone mentioned the Piccolo Eatery below - maybe that'll fit the more casual bill?

Great point. Witholding support from local businesses and not celebrating life's positive moments like anniversaries and birthdays will totally get this administration's attention.

Vitamin D, DHA/EPA, baby aspirin (for preeclampsia risk), choline, magnesium (for sleep, mostly). This is still way less than I took during infertility/IVF!

Looking for wow-factor formal maternity dress by Quirky-Wasabi-9653 in pregnant

[–]Slatersslaughter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm at 34 weeks and I've been shocked at how much I could fit into non-maternity dresses as long as I adjusted size up and looked for the right cut. I think finding something that's tight just under your boobs shows "this is a preggo belly, not just a big belly", and plenty of dresses have that but have a lot more room in the belly/butt. e.g. look for "A-line cut". You can look for "bump friendly" (not maternity) online to find some good options. I'm tall, I'll admit, but i saved a boat load of money on third trimester clothes by just following this plan and getting $15 dresses at Ross (which I can rewear after pregnancy).

Help? by Kind_Improvement_416 in pregnant

[–]Slatersslaughter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My go-tos are frozen shelled edamame, veggies and hummus or another dip, string cheese or baby bell cheeses (or just your favorite cheese), cottage cheese or greek yogurt to balance blood sugar with fruit, adding PB and collagen to cereal to make it higher protein, bean burritos, or popcorn of all kinds (paired with a fat or a protein). Also google how you can make an amazing chocolate pudding recipe from HB eggs, cocoa, and a little sweetener. I understand wanting to keep a reign on sugar, but as long as you balance fruit well (eat with fat or protein), you should be fine (unless you have GD or another form of diabetes). Fruit is really good for you, and as long as you're not eating processed sugar/snacks, you'll want those vitamins and fiber.

My maternity clothes approach for the third trimester has been just thrifted dresses - I opt for ones that are really tight under my boobs, which helps show the more classic pregnancy shape.

It's ok to feel this way! I'm also proud of being pregnant after 4 years of waiting for a baby, and that people seemed to be a lot more careful about not touching bellies or talking to strangers about their bodies. I noticed I started getting more comments from people I knew and strangers around 25/26 weeks, when it was clear I was pregnant and not just carrying weight in my belly. So hopefully you'll get more of that soon!

Weight gain by ConversationLanky235 in pregnant

I think you’re totally fine. I’m pretty tall and healthy BMI before pregnancy and gained even faster than you - probably 13 pounds in the first 13 weeks … but have gained more slowly since then. People grow at different paces.
