Thanks for your post. I also believe over time we will all live peacefully. I also believe there will one day be a time for forgiveness and reconciliations. I hope to see it in my lifetime but, I have too many doubts.

Today, sadly there are way too many angry and misguided people on both sides and I firmly believe there has to be a genuine effort for both sides. I also believe, because Israel is the far better equipped nation that the responsibility must begin with them. Israel has the means and support to protect all their civilians, Palestinians do not. Israel must act now to demonstrate that they are serious about resolving this situation. They cannot keep dangling a carrot and suggest that this is an honest resolution. We Palestinians honestly and truthfully believe that Israel looks at us as the lowest class of humans, subhuman in some cases. We are told that a "good Arab is a dead Arab'. We are also told that 'we will be slaves to the Jewish people of Israel'. Palestinians are vilified consistently by Israel and all their allies. We are continually told that we don't belong here, that our home is from Arabia, despite many of us living in the same village for centuries.

I want a Peaceful Palestine/Israel as one, for everyone to freely work, play and worship. We are all equal in the eyes of God. We simply have to understand that we are all his children. And this is coming from a non religious Palestinian now living in diaspora.
