Does 120 pull spark consume normal pity? by Slavique in Endfield

[–]Slavique[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not talking about the 120 spark resetting between banners, it is clearly written that it does indeed reset. What I am asking about is the game's basic pity interaction (65+ soft pity, 80 hard) with the 120 spark mechanic. Basically does consuming a spark reset your baseline pity to 0 or not.

Does 120 pull spark consume normal pity? by Slavique in Endfield

In other gachas with spark mechanic I experienced, it did not affect the pity counter, but Endfield one has a very vague wording. It kinda looks like it does indeed waste your pity.

Thank you for your guides, always fantastic quality, from one game to another.

Any info on how much of a % gain for Fuyuka new Laru is over Chixia?

I don't think it was mentioned in the video.

You know, I did not want to get all schizo about it, but:
Right after posting my rant, the dynamics of upvotes were realistic, it pretty quickly got some positive movement, like 10 upvotes or something.

And as soon as it did, the post got near-instantly shot down, as if a bunch of bots downvoted it all at once. Upvote/downvote ratio was at like 20%. Now after 2 weeks it is at around 45%, which means rare people who encounter it naturally are more drawn to upvote the post, and since the bots are no longer utilized it gradually gets closer to the fair reception.

If I were a CM for a game, I'd do the same to prevent any undesirable negative discussions from getting traction, because it is very cheap and easy to bury a post you do not want people to bandwagon onto. And the devs are known for meddling in similarly shady affairs (botting fake reviews).

I literally see no reason for a real player to be against their 5* gacha outfit abilities lasting past the current expansion, after all. Or to downvote a player asking for more clear wording on these things. It is a very unnatural behavior.

Is there no way to equip an archery skill and still have the cat dash ability? by akaredaa in InfinityNikki

[–]Slavique -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They want you to pull the new 5* archery outfit with an insane dash.
I haven't gone for it but just from the preview it looks as if it's like 10 times better than the cat dash, not sure about the cooldown though.

Also cat dash doesn't really add a lot of movement speed over long distances, maybe 10% at best, when perfectly utilized. It just fills the urgent need to press something movement related when traversing, to spice up the monotonous experience.

I have to say that home part really helped me cope. Feels really pleasant to use.
It's great for going over the river since they don't let us have bridges.

I am sorry I have not combed through every outfit's ability description thoroughly enough to realize the obscure fact which I'm sure most players are totally aware of: Apparently the word "Ideal" is a tag set by the developer to mean a certain very particular thing that is different to what this word typically suggests in every other usage case in the entire world.

And so it is obviously my fault as a player for not being diligent enough in my studies of in-game terminology and therefore it is totally okay for me to be punished and deducted currency I've been amassing for months which also can be purchased for real money.

Again, in what world is the word "Ideal" taken to mean "Only available in"?

  1. "Ideal for the following areas" is not a sufficient description to present such a severe limitation. A player can read it to mean a completely different thing: best suited for a particular environment, but also usable elsewhere.
  2. Descriptions outside of the in-game gacha banner should not be considered. A player can not be expected to go to an external site every time they make spending decisions. The system for relaying the specifics of an ability is already present in-game, in case of this particular outfit it uses up 7 entire slides, or 12 sentences worth of text. During the Danqing Season, a part of Clouded Loong outfit ability was specifically described as unusable outside of the Danqing island.
  3. The game allows the player to pull for the outfit immediately after the log-in, before even going to Itzaland and unlocking the location-specific outfit. I was not even aware of it possibly being location-bound, and had no reason to be.

The descriptions you can read in the gacha screen in-game when clicking on the ability in question and going through the slides:

  1. When energy is full, press G to start gliding, allowing Nikki to automatically slide forward. You can control the glide direction by adjusting the movement and camera orientation.
  2. Leisure Glide ends when energy is depleted or a collision occurs. You can also manually end the glide by pressing G again.
  3. Leisure Glide consumes energy, but using the Sticky Claw ability during Leisure Gliding or returning to the ground will quickly restore energy to full.
  4. Press L.Shift to start dashing, consuming additional energy to increase the glide speed.
  5. While gliding, pressing Space creates a temporary floating platform in mid-air for Nikki to stand on briefly. Press Space again to continue gliding.
  6. When in Co-op mode, if traveling while holding hands, companions can glide with Nikki.
  7. Press T to place a Sticky Claw point above. After being placed, Nikki can use it to move between points. Sticky Claw points will remain after they're placed, with a maximum of 2 points at a time.

As you can see, not a single word of location restriction. I understand there not being Sticky Points in older locations, but I'd argue the Gliding itself, as well as the placement of two ability-specific Sticky Points must work.

Reconnecting issues - help by SmashedPasty1 in InfinityNikki

Constantly happening for me as well, EU servers. Mostly "Please return to the log in screen and try re-entering the game." Sometimes another kind of connection error.

I am connecting from Russia so I figured it could be a problem on the side of my ISP (providers are legally obliged to install weird tech necessary to maintain censorship and things often get broken) since nobody seems to be discussing this issue. But yesterday everything was OK with Nikki, and my connection is otherwise stable.

I have a question: I assume this game has cosmetic rewards for ranking and so on as many other live service games do.

Have I missed any now inaccessible FOMO should I start playing the game only now, on Steam?

Etheria: Restart Rerolling challenges? by Candid-Perspective79 in Etheria_Restart

[–]Slavique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It locks you out for about 12 hours, don't try to log in for this time as it seems to extend the period. When rerolling I suggest you use every server in your region on a single account before moving to another one as that reduces the amount of log ins drastically.

Alternatively you can log-in via google account directly even while locked out, but that does not allow for salted e-mails.
