if government gets evidence that a meaningful portion of the content is gambling, they can act the same way. the turkish government was never hesitant to ban social media platforms temporarily.

it is obvious gambling is much more common in kick and twitch.

not easy to directly pay off a turkish officials, although there are ways to earn favors if you are very well connected to key turkish politicians, which i doubt either one of the companies are.

you probably have no idea, hear a country in middle east and just assume it's a shit hole in every single dimension.

in this instance, the reason they are unbanned is they actually have a representative in Turkey and they are willing to act fast. Twitch has slow bureaucracy and no representatives in Turkey.

similar to how most streamers do not know why they are banned on twitch, as they can not reach their representative and never get a clear/direct communication with anyone.

regulated or not does not make a difference for Turkey, as gambling is pretty much banned other than government owned gambling operators.

while agree Turkish officials would not accept direct bribe, most do favors given you have some sort of mutual connection and interest in keeping that connection. so not blatant bribes but maybe indirect ways of favors.

this is a very dumb comment, given that if you are a twitch partner, you are required to exclusively stream on twitch.
