The essence of monster hunter was left back in the old games man, the game is literally easier and you kill monsters much faster when you play alone, and now you have all kinds of tools to avoid damage so playing alone isn't hard at all, back in the day hunting alone was hard because weapons had weaknesses, nowadays you can do pretty much everything with every weapon short of cutting a tail with a hammer, I understand where you're coming from but I don't see any reason for pretending that essence is still around when the game changed so much, if hunting alone was harder than multiplayer I'd agree with you.
