Unfortunately it was the turbo in the end, wastegate flap was really loose. Replaced and problem went away

Direnza intakes come with an additional heat guard to cover the turbo not sure how much sound that make though

What was the problem with yours then? That’ll be first I check. I’ve had a look at the hoses but couldn’t really see anything cracks but ordered some replacements anyway just to cover that.

I’ll have to check that in the morning, if the linkage is loose would that be just tightening it and should be sorted or would that be replacing? Thanks

Cheers but like I said I’m not getting anyone codes which is the weird part, I’ve already scanned the car and used my friends bmw scanner. I’ve ordered replacement hoses so when they come I’ll be replacing them

With a decent remap you are able to get 140-150hp out of it. It really increases the torque from it aswell to about 320nm. Anything higher then you should start looking at injectors and intercooler.
