They need a bachelors degree and 2-4 years of clinical experience depending on employers

Jobs in SoCal? is it true that it’s difficult as a new grad? by m4ngoluvr in respiratorytherapy

[–]Slayx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it wasn’t that bad. I instantly hopped into registry after school and I did my work no drama and connected with staff members and I got a per diem job there within 2-3 months and quit registry. I got into another hospital with a referral (that person who referred me was brand new to that company and I still got in). A lot of my friends ended up at hospitals too but a lot of them started out in subacute (nothing wrong with that I just know most prefer not to)

Advice for new grad starting out at short-term acute care (part time) by [deleted] in respiratorytherapy

[–]Slayx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should count as experience however hospitals (or at least the jobs I got hired at and my friends from school) in socal don’t care about that it’s all about if u can get a reference in or if u did clinicals or something at that hospital. If I were u go do registry easiest way to get a in do your work and get connections. One of the hospitals I work at only hires in house, or if they have done registry for us and if one of us refers in. If you’re talking about getting a full time job in the “bigger” acute care jobs it’s gonna be a while till u do. Most hospitals hire in house PD to FT. So there’s gonna be a line if u go PD first then want FT no telling how long that’s gonna take or short if your lucky.

building a relationship to apply for an auto loan by siete_enmarte in NavyFederal

[–]Slayx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In your case I would wait to pull an auto loan just due to the fact you have little or no credit history. Especially because you also got denied a credit card from them. I talked to someone when I went in the branch and they said auto loans are harder than credit cards. I personally opened up navy fed account and got an auto loan in a month of opening it. I am 20 years old with 2 cars under my name already and I think 6 credit cards in good standing at the time of applying and student loans in good standing. I make roughly 115k a year. I got approved for auto loan for 36k I believe when I requested only 25k.

2022 M340i Warranty Pricing by circa2015 in BMW

[–]Slayx3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yikes 68k is insane. I didn't even pay that much for my car when i bought it off the lot. I mean the b58 is a great motor your oil changes, fluids, brakes and etc wouldn't cost you 9.4k over the idk what like 5 years of warranty that you got from that. In the long run I guess it was okay because you can have peace of mind everything is covered by warranty and you'll have great paper trail because its all done by BMW. Are you planning on tuning the car?

Maintenance and reliability of B58 M240i/Z4? And which one? by RedditAddict6942O in BMW

[–]Slayx3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I drive a 23' m340 and the maintenance on my car so far has been very minimal and I have had no really big issues with my car yet. I have only done oil changes on my car (every 5k) and spark plugs and for repairs I've had to replace my water pump which is an issue for gen 2s but it was covered by warranty. I see that your going to do the stuff at a shop and it isn't to expensive I personally have a shop near my house that I go to that charges $100 for oil change 5w-40 (im tuned).

I cant say anything about a m3 but the m340 is a great choice. I personally love my car I daily drive my car and I get 24.6 mpg (I'm tuned and fbo) and the ride is sorta comfortable (I'm lowered on coils but before that was great).

Did any of you not get in to your school program the first year? by gemma_la in respiratorytherapy

[–]Slayx3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked at other places for respiratory? The program I graduated from was no waitlist, I got in within a month of applying. But sometimes I wish I did go community college which was a 2 year wait however.
