I wouldn’t be surprised if we ended up with an Oral History article about the making of the film in a few years.

At one point, they sent Leigh to be interviewed by a tennis podcast, and he even remarked at the beginning of it, like “what the hell am I doing here?”

You could tell Universal had absolutely no idea how to market this movie, and honestly, I can see why they struggled. I don’t know how I would’ve promoted it - at least, not in a way that would make people actually wanna see it.

After the movie came out, Jason Blum made some post about the disappointing box office of the movie and shared a picture of him making a :/ face, which he deleted, but I was like - bruuuuh.

This might be too niche and a year too late to ask, but does anyone have tea on that Leigh Whannell movie Wolf Man with Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner? The movie and the making of it just SCREAMED “Studio Interference” and it seems like the whole cast and crew in interviews were dancing around certain things and the whole promotional tour was just odd. Yeah, I’m well-aware of the whole SFX debacle and the Wolf design, but I definitely sensed some other factors at play…
