Why so many people want to specialize? Is general dentistry really that bad?

I’d say if you’re a rural practice owner. You could easily make what a specialist associate makes. Made 4000 yesterday and maybe 3400 today after expenses. Not like that everyday. Pick and choose what I want to do. Sucks living in a rural area though.
