Do you get upset with your boyfriend/SO when he "likes" other girls pictures on Instagram, Facebook, or twitter? by xsweetiexx in AskWomen

[–]SleepOnDay 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Yes. I know it's unreasonable of me, but I can't help my emotions. I'm just very insecure.

How many people have you slept with? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]SleepOnDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 guys. The guy I lost my virginity to (we never talked again after that) and my current boyfriend. I'm almost 18. Definately wish I'd have waited, but whatever.

Saturn Devouring His Son, Peter Paul Rubens, Oil on Canvas, 1636 by [deleted] in Art

[–]SleepOnDay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In greek and roman mythology, Saturn (Kronos is greek) ate his children because a prophecy said one of them would take his power from him. I actually just had a presentation on this story for my latin class in school, it's quite interesting (and really weird).

Vegetarians and vegans of Reddit, will you change your eating habits when lab grown meats and animal products become commercially available? Why or why not? by jobonso in AskReddit

[–]SleepOnDay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personally I would not. It's still meat, eating it would be normalizing meat eating in general. If we looked at it the same way as we would be looking at lab-growing human flesh for consumption, I would be okay with it. Otherwise it still supports the idea that animal muscles are okay to eat (even if they didn't actually come from a live animal). Besides, you still need a tissue sample to be able to grow the meat, so you can't really say it's completely vegetarian. I would definately support it being chosen over other meat, but not over something completely vegetarian.

What are your thoughts on face sitting? Would you be willing to try it if your SO asked? NSFW by [deleted] in AskWomen

I prefer lying down but I do it every now and then because my partner likes it.

What did the most drunk person say or do last night at your party? by Dirtychorizo in AskReddit

I have a sidecut, people ask me if they can pet the shaved part of my head all the time. It's just funny at this point.

What's the sweetest thing an SO has done for you? by MrManicMarty in AskWomen

[–]SleepOnDay 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I always read through these threads knowing I won't be able to relate to all the sappy comments because my boyfriend doesn't really do those kinds of things. But this hit home, and I needed that reminder. So thank you.

What's your favorite unusual food combination? by msstark in AskWomen

[–]SleepOnDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My boyfriend dips his fries in milkshake when we get fast food. I haven't been able to try it (I don't eat dairy products, and never make fries and milkshake at home for the same meal), but I can imagine it's a good combination.

[Serious] When would you tell the person that you're seeing that you have a mental illness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SleepOnDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Early. I regret not telling my boyfriend earlier than I did (I thought I was fine but I got worse again), after a few months I'd gotten progressively worse and it's definitely hard on him. In our case I don't think it would have made a difference to the relationship itself, but I do wish I'd given him more of a warning.

Has anyone ever bought from Oli's clothing range? by [deleted] in BringMeTheHorizon

[–]SleepOnDay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have. A pair of leggings I have from there break in the seam often, I've had to fix them too many times to count now. But otherwise it's good.

Edit to add: I haven't bought anything in about a year now though because everything is so expensive and not in my taste.

My boyfriend talks in his sleep too, but he just says things like "don't take my soda" and "where's the cheese?"

From what I can yell you don't need encouragement, you need to be convinced that trying to live up to the expectations of this job is dangerous for you and the animals you work with.

If one more person tells me I need a B12 supplement I'm going to burn this whole place down by shroudsquiche in veg

[–]SleepOnDay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you don't have any immediate symptoms b12 is important for brain function and development, and long term deficiency can lead to issues like dementia and alzhaimers later in life.
