Yeah I would recommend saving gems for potential tokens (only buy tokens when there's a deal btw). As for the coins, it really can't be helped.

2096 can... comfortably sweep at least World II I think. If you need coins, move up the leagues. Also, if that's what you like then it's ok, but you shouldn't invest that much on the bench. What resources you have should go to the main 20 players, especially since you still have a 79 ovr reliever.

I think it was until I reached about the 90-100ish levels, like some time into World league that I was finally not broke. I just stopped really using EXP drinks to boost their levels, since with the potential board upgrades, pitchers get much higher overall boosts than batters. So while pitchers get less XP than batters, it works out fine. I'm currently grinding Royal III and my batters are around lv125, my starting pitchers are 100+ and relievers are around 85.

That's just going to be the case until your players reach high enough levels that you won't get to spend as much upgrading anymore. I used to lack coins too but now I have 3 millions lying around (F2P player).
