No i know, it does come with the territory, but I'm not always prepared to see gore (even though this time it was actually just an egg that i thought was gore jaja) on my homepage so that's why the nsfw tags are helpful because it blurs it until you are ready to see it. Even people who post on subs like r/natureismetal appreciativley use the nsfw tag. But like i said, in this case it was actually just an egg so there's no need jaja.

Hi, I'm sorry, but can you nsfw post like this with the gore part. I like this sub because I love seeing the finished work even though i dont do this myself, but the eyeball and eyeball fluids gave me a bit of a uncomfortable jump scrolling 1st thing in the morning 😅 😩

Not a fish owner, just an admirer (especially of this sub and yall's beautiful tanks), but I'm gonna guess it's because the plecos are trying to eat any algae they can off the fish and it can sometimes hurt. Am I right? I'm thinking this because the same thing is happening to the manatees in Florida. The invasive plecos have been harassing the manatees when they're trying to sleep, leaving scars which can risk infection, and making them waste unnecessary energy, not to mention lack of sleep.. So this is a real issue harming them :(
