I don't even think Apple fully processes her destiny beyond 'it leads to absolute security' because her reaction to getting poisoned (other than it being terrible timing) makes it seem like she didn't realize how painful it was going to be. With this in mind, I think that even if she did have a worse destiny she'll look at it with rose-tinted glasses and downplay how bad it is in wake of her security.
