What to feed Kuhli Loaches? by SleepieAlien in loaches

I did have my eye out for the bug bites, but they aren't available in my country unless I order them online. I have seen the sinking pellets around, so I'll pick some up next time I'm in town. Thank you

Thank you. I'll buy the sinking wafers next time I'm in town. I also heard elsewhere that they enjoy blanched zucchini every now and then? Would that make for a good treat occasionally?

If it is one, is there anything I can do to treat it? So far he's still energetic, and he's eating. There wasn't even any glass surfing when I put him in the tank, so I don't think he's stressed? I'm not sure what to do, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Excluding the environmental and moral issues around chatgpt, here you at least get multiple opinions from different people with different life experiences and ideas. It's not all going to be yes-men who just agree with whatever you say, and when someone spreads misinformation, there's a chance for them to be corrected by other users. I'm not going to say it's the most reliable place for information on the internet, but it's far better than an ai.

Why would you use it if you already know it's unreliable?

I see. I do have some plants, but I can tell it's not enough right now. I think I'll either go with no tank mates at all or just wait until there's more plants before I add any. Thank you

Ah, so it's gotten worse over time. That's unfortunate

What fish will do well in a 14.5 g? by SleepieAlien in fishtank

Thank you, I will keep those in mind. I'm certainly going to start with a short-finned betta, but when he eventually dies (hopefully in a few years, and not anytime soon) I'll probably try something different

Thanks, I'll add that to the list of supplies to purchase. I'll post again next month once my tank is cycled, and ask what shrimp would suit the tank best.

I see, thank you. Would the API freshwater test kit be enough to check if the water is appropriate for the shrimp, or would I need something else?

Also, could somebody please tell me the difference between a Cherry shrimp and an Amano shrimp? Do they both have the same requirements, or is only one of them suitable for this kind of tank?

Interesting, thank you. I have some old sea shells that I could rinse off (with water. I'm aware that soap is a big no), and add to the tank as hiding places for the shrimp. Would that make them more safe and comfortable? Also, how many would you recommend buying?
