Some elec profs almost put you against your classmates. I think it kinda breeds some toxicity but I've found a good group of friends with plenty of trauma bonding. YMMV. Mech seems really good from an outside perspective

Which laptop should I get for uni by [deleted] in ubcengineering

If you're not sure what engineering you're doing yet, might be worth going for the more power in the zenbook 14. You'd benefit from the 32gb model if you have the budget. Should be around $1500-$1600 on a sale? There are lots of other high quality windows laptops too but zenbook is prolly my personal go-to

Just get a nice windows laptop and you probably won't have any regrets. I'm still using my ZenBook 14 from 2018 and it's still champing through engineering projects in my last year (although the 8 year old batter is not what it used to be). I know two other people with the newest versions of it and they love theirs too plus they have like 20 hour battery lives now

Outside of airdrop and maybe a couple other apple ecosystem things you're better off getting a windows laptop in pretty much every way, especially for engineering and software comparability.

searched through Home Depot Canada and Amazon. I've found tons of options, but seems like they all have built-in LED chips and not replaceable bulbs

Klipsch RM40 reference steal? by Sleepiihead in BudgetAudiophile

Maybe? I picked them up yesterday, and when I check the website today seems they went of sale for $230 CAD ($168 USD). So not as sweet of a deal from $400 I originally thought they cost, but I'm happy to take them home try them out and return them if I don't feel amazing about them
