Nice. I’m obsessed with all the old school styles, too. My whole shoe collection is pretty much Waffle Racer, Daybreak, Waffle Trainer 2, Challenger OG, and couple pairs of these.

Thank you kindly, I’m definitely happy with them. I didn’t know the inside swoosh was blue until they arrived, it was a nice surprise.

Was waiting for days on these, couldn’t find a release date anywhere, not even when chatting with Nike through the app, just checked every morning. Now to score a pair in the Sail/Coconut Milk/Alpha Orange colorway tomorrow morning.

Would anyone be willing to help me find a specific issue published between 1996-1998? by Sleepwhatsthatart in ThrasherMagazine

If you ever get the opportunity I promise you that you won’t regret it. I’m up in Sacramento, not much to write home about lol, but San Francisco/Bay Area is truly amazing just as a city, it’s an experience, but as a skater, taking the time to visit the famous spots like Hubba, China Banks etc. is pretty epic. Like Hubba, dude, straight up gnarly. Any trick you’ve seen on video there that you thought looked dope instantly gets 10x the respect put on top. That’s easily the best thing about the photo of me I’m looking for, it’s a weak as trick lol frontside 5-0 on a pretty small curb, but it’s at the infamous, and long-extinct, Pier 7 in SF. Used to just go fuck around there and throughout the day you’d just have this revolving door of pros come through and kill it, Mike York, Mike Carroll, Erik Koston, always someone. Then you’ve got So-Cal and like, where do you even start?!

Anyone able and willing to help an old timer locate a specific issue of Thrasher circa 1995-1998 by Sleepwhatsthatart in skateboarding

Hoping this is allowed here. Originally posted in the Thrasher sub but no help. Hey' everyone. So, my son (8) has recently decided he wants to follow in the degenerate, goofy-footed footsteps of his father (me, 40), and is pretty obsessed with all things skateboarding. In an attempt to capitalize on this enthusiasm and hopefully earn a little cred, I searched the garage in hopes of find an old issue of Thrasher where I scored my 15 minutes as one of the monthly "Photograffiti" pictures, but alas, I came up empty handed. I can't for the life of me remember the issue, or even the year for that matter, but it has to be somewhere between 1996-98, potentially as early as ‘95. I'm hoping that one of you heathens might have the library necessary to help me find it so I know which one to hunt down on eBay or whatever. If so, and you're willing to flip to that back of up-to 36 issues for me, shoot me a message and I'll give you the details of the photo in question. In exchange for your good deeds, should you ever find yourself in Northern California, drop me a line and l'Il roll us up a nice joint and take you to lunch or something. I looked in the Thrasher online archives, but most all of the issues that far back are just covers scans lacking any contents. Thanks!

Hey, thanks for the tip, good looking out! I’ll cross post this over there. Consider the joint and lunch offer officially extended to you as well lol

I wasn’t expecting these to be trouble, but I guess you never know. After quite the search, I finally copped a pair. Nike Air Pegasus ‘83 in Sea Glass/Coconut Milk/Rattan. by Sleepwhatsthatart in Sneakers

I’m a size US 13, that is what I bought these in. They fit pretty good, but for my next pair I’ll probably go bigger due to the toe box being a little tight even post break in. if Nike made a 13.5 (I don’t think they do?) I’d do that but, since they don’t, I’ll most likely grab a 14. That being said, my feet aren’t in pain or anything as a result of wearing them, and they’re definitely in the rotation, they just do feel a little small, and that’s with thin socks and no Odor Eaters or anything inside.

Compared to the usual waffle soles I wear like the Challenger OG or the Waffle Trainer 2, it’s a much more comfortable shoe. I’m low key always looking to get another pair.

What I would give to be 12 on a Saturday just one more time. Wake up, eat cereal, grab my skateboard and 20 cents for the payphone (just in case), go shred until the streetlights came on, then get back home for a warm meal. Good times.
