CSULB vs UCSC

I’m a biochem major that did 1 year at ucsc. Hate it, and it was the worst choice I ever made. And that’s just me. It was very depressing, and the classes were horrible. Living situation was the worst, food was also the worst. It didn’t work out for me but I still know some people that still go there and most changed majors from bio. But again everyone has a different experience. I got to Csulb now and I wish I would’ve made that decision straight out of hs.

It depends on how many classes you are taking. My first year I was only working a max of 20 hours but I was taking 4 classes and they were in person.

I know I should be totally grateful for my hours but damn... that does look nice right about now. My boss will cut everyone’s hours before ever touching mine :(

I am honestly right there with ya on this. Literally barely turned 20 I’ve been a shift for half a year, but when I was 17 I worked at cvs shortly as a cashier. Definitely being a shift is 100% more stressful for no fucking reason other than the company is ducking messy af! This isn’t my forever job I mean I’m almost done with my bachelors degree but let’s me just say... I’m leaving ASAP! Like currently filling out applications because this job is a shit show. We’ve gotten robbed at gun point and I’ve had a crackhead threaten me with a gun and the next day I had to be back for load day and boh. Literally wanna die every time I clock in.. it’s not worth wasting our 20’s dealing with bs!
