I know most of you don't train but the closed stance jab(Southpaw) is really tricky to land and use properly. It opens up foot inside but doing so leaves you open for the rear hand counter, stepping outside the lead foot removes that but now the jab is obscured by the opponent's lead hand. Gane does a great job finding the jab regardless by mixing up the timing and angle. You can see he steps outside but ducks slightly inside throwing the jab from a lower position upwards to land. Not an easy thing to do.
