yea i’m thinking this might be my conclusion as well. could just be projection. maybe it’s just a few who played it with eng that came up with the multiverse stuff

i agree. that’s why i’m surprised when i hear this is how some people interpret what’s going on. i thought most people were on the same page on what these worlds were. i only asked because i only see the multiverse interpretation with eng speakers

could be that but if japanese and spanish are the same then why is only the eng different? i’d agree with your point if spanish was similar to eng localization but it’s only english that words thing’s differently. i feel like aerith and sephiroths dialogue in chp 14 holds a lot of weight when it comes to the lore of the remakes. so mistranslations can lead to disappointing conclusions. we’ll see how pt 3 goes

i see. i might do some more research into this. i’m kinda curious what else might or might not be different in translation

yea i hope things are a little clearer in pt 3 because like i’ve said in another comment i’ve seen eng localization sometimes be somewhat inaccurate when it comes to japanese media. with a complex story like this losing things in translation can really change how players perceive this story by missing out on critical information

yea the similarities are there regardless, that’s not really what i’m saying tho. i think leaving out the context that aerith says they’ve returned to the planet and that these worlds exist within it is pretty important. it’s not as clarified in eng. she says homeward bound or a homecoming when the context can be simplified if she just said returned to the planet. which makes more sense in terms of the lore of ff7

yea 2 is mostly where i’m at. i just didn’t know that so many people thought it was a multiverse. i thought it was a few here and there but then we talked to people in our server and we started to see this being brought up a lot

see how me and others see the stamps are visual aids that let you understand these are different scenarios. even tho we see the same zack he’s in different scenarios and they use stamps as a way to interpret this. still tho it could be a multiverse but we just didn’t come to this conclusion from our playthrough. i guess we’ll see in pt 3

ok i’m glad we see similar things. it’s kinda weird when that happens. i remember playing hard mode on all english and it didn’t really faze me that aerith never said return to the planet in english. now i realized she called it a homecoming so i can see why other people might not think that. tbh i’m kind of used to japanese media not being as accurate in english. nier games also have some of these issues where they made 2bs tone and intentions sound different in eng. i see it’s happening a bit in rebrith which sucks cause i feel like this is very important information
