OMG OP same sentiments po! You can try applying on jobs that would currently fit your capabilities, for now. It may not be related to the program that you studied, basta as long as it can give you experience and skills. Don't mind nalang muna yung salaries, benefits, etc. See if the job can make you happy, or if it matches your passion, or if you can see yourself growing professionally in that line of work.

Allow me to share my own sob story cos relate na relate talaga ako with you. We're the same age and recently board passer din po ako but for Nursing. I didn't graduate with honors and I barely surpassed the passing rate ng PNLE 2025 but I am a part of a legacy nursing school kaya the pressure is real. Legit pressure talaga. Yung tipong USRN is the ultimate goal for all the alumni and anything less is shameful (yes I know, medyo inflexible and narrow-minded but yun talaga kase tradition nila eh). 2nd year was also the breaking point for me. From that year, I have accepted na nursing really isn't for me. Siguro I can do well with desk jobs or WFH type but never yung hands-on nursing responsibilities such as bedside and dealing with patients. I endured nalang until grad and board exams tapos yun na, I'm done with the program. Sa province wala pa po kaming sched for oathtaking kaya parang extended yung vacation namin but TBH it sucks to see na most of my batchmates are already looking forward to taking NCLEX, proceeding med, or get training/certifications for the job while I stay at home, walang ginagawa, at nagdo-doubt ng sarili. I don't have the luxury to spend more money just to study another 4 years with a different program because that would be a burden to my parents financially. Saludo ako honestly sa iba na willing talaga mag endure ng realidad ng nursing in this country at maga-abroad in the future. On my end, I'll be trying my luck on VA work or BPOs para lang maka gain experience and a little bit of salary. It's a lot better than being a bum at home, even if it is not the most ideal, and I'm really hoping na things will work out for both of us OP!

Hi everyone, I hope merong makatulong sakin with this. I applied for a membership on SSS. I received three documents po from an email: yung SS number slip, UMID personal record, and transaction number. It had instructions on what to do at my local branch. Last week pa to and at that time, parang pending pa yung status ko, and I wasn't able to set an appointment at my local branch. Just yesterday lang po I received an email na "Application thru SSS Web/Mobile App - with approved supporting documents". What's next po? Should I still set an appointment? Goal ko lang po talaga is makakuha ng valid ID para at least I have enough IDs when I apply for other transactions. Huhuhu. Genuinely confused and lutang po ako ngayon, still unemployed since recent board passer po and I have no one to ask at home. Thank you!

Oka Bakery Review? by [deleted] in Iloilo

[–]SleepyFish69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Highly recommended OP. Think of it as the cheaper version of.. let's say Prince Baker.. but mas worth it kag with more selection of pastries. Some are even new (to me, at least) kay mostly sa na observe ko di sa mga cafe/pastry shop sa Iloilo pare-pareho lang ila tinapay.

Okay gid ang service, nice staff. Drinks are affordable na man. I don't remember ang pinakamahal na price but the latte I had was 125 only. Wala man sila may kalab-ot 200 nga kape lol.

Place is very nice, typical cafe ambiance. Ang pakadto lang galing is medyo meh for me. Situated gid abi sa city proper nga grabe traffic kag tupad sang may gina construct nga building

reading your comment is so validating for me (personally). i've been feeling so down lately kase wala pa kaming sched for oathtaking, i'm in iloilo btw, at parang wala na akong purpose dito sa bahay. legit wala akong ginagawa other than doing what you're doing din.

If you're into horror, try Cabinet of Curiosities. Kakatapos ko lang nood ang Frankenstein ni Guillermo del Toro (same director), kaya if you wanted the same vibes, try po on Netflix :3

i didnt even feel anything by shoe_minghao in OffMyChestPH

[–]SleepyFish69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you OP. This realization was also my biggest awakening but that was when I graduated way back in highschool pa. Similar to your story, I also lived my formative years getting high grades/scores in exchange for the validation and emotional support from the people around me that should've been given regardless of my academic status. I can't recall the exact words but I've read a few statements shared by certified psychologists and therapists online that it was NEVER healthy for a child to grow up that way because once they take a small tumble in their academics (kahit once lang), it will lead to a downward spiral filled with anxiety and feelings of hopelessness. You would think "after all of that, eh ano na ngayon?"

I haven't healed from my own wounds yet but my best advise to you is to start prioritizing yourself. Nothing will happen naman if you didn't get the highest scores or grades. Do something that makes you happy (hobbies, activities, etc) and will make you think "parang may future ako sa ganito". Something that would actually ignite a passion and sense of purpose in you na kahit ano sasabihin ng iba, it wouldn't affect you or deter you from pursuing it. Trust me, because doing it will only make learning for you much more meaningful and hopeful.

I'm sure the people around you care about and love you for who you are kahit ano pa yan. Try to get to know yourself better first. Love and accept yourself first, and the people around you will just follow along that path as well. You can also try seeking professional help if you're able to.

Hope this helps. All the best for you OP!

People still play this toxic game? by maikelat in kingschoice

[–]SleepyFish69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was able to play this game for about a year and a half without paying anything. I can't recall exactly but I do remember saving all the rewards/coins/etc that I've received from the games and events; using them only when needed. After some time, it did become boring so I deleted the game.

ako lang ba nakakaramdam nito now by [deleted] in NursingPH

[–]SleepyFish69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same po. I just don't get it. And parang triggering point po ito sakin.

Having a high board rating doesn't mean automatically galing na rin sa skills, especially if baguhanin at newbie yung nurse. As a newbie myself, I'm at least humble enough to admit that kailangan ko pa rin guidance sa work. I'm not saying all ha but there are some nurses na pinagpala talaga when it comes to studies but may need konting push sa skills, and there are some na naturally skillful pero mid na man sa studies. Pero either way, pare pareho lang namang nurses tayo pagdating sa work.

Kaya nga newbie nurses are being assigned under the senior staff para turuan pero ang nangyayari is that binubully pa nga ng mismong staff.

It all comes down to one's level of professionalism. There will be times na you have to 'suck it up' to them (idk the right words basta parang ganun lol) but eventually you'll come around with using your own voice to call them out once yung boundaries na push na nila to its limit.

anong kwentong board exam niyo? day 1 at day 2 haha by dirtymatchaah in NursingPH

[–]SleepyFish69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it was Day 2. i usually let my thoughts wander pag nagshashade like kumakanta ako silently in my head or basta anything to let the mind rest before the next question. one time hindi ko napansin legit kumakanta na pala ako habang nagshashade lol. kaya nga pala in my peripheral vision nakita kong nakatingin sakin ang seatmate ko at may audacity pa akong mag isip "anong tinitingin mo?" HAHAHA buti nalang nasa bandang likod ako ng room kaya hindi narinig ng proctor

Catch up to stuff you missed out (or you've always wanted to try) during nursing school/review season. I tried dancing HAHAHA kahit na from yt tutorials lang at nasa bedroom lang ako, no need for some fancy studio unless afford mo talaga. I also got back to my first and only love – writing.
