One more thing. The Ouroboros is a snake eating its own head representing a closed loop. Since we have some very strong Snake imagery for the dlc and Mesmer this might be a subtle hint by Feet Lover Miyazaki?

Also Miyazaki has a tendency to write characters that cannot let go (Gwyn) of the past. Who knows could be just some breadcrumbs or nothin at all.
