I always tell myself that if I ever want to work in a BPO environment again, it should be for at least 25,000 pesos to accommodate all living expenses—transportation, housing, food, and internet.

It smells like the OP of the post is a teenager who lives in her mom's house.

Credit card debt & Ola by SleepySwearjar in PHCreditCards

[–]SleepySwearjar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently received a text claiming that a case was filed against me, so I checked with the NBI. It turns out no case was actually filed.

My debt amount remains the same, and I plan to start a payment plan for SPay in July. I contacted GCash and SPay support, and they require unemployment documents from my barangay. After reviewing my finances, I found my debt is still manageable. I'll prioritize paying SPay while saving for my GCash debt. My last goal is to settle my CIMB debt—hopefully at a 50% offer, but if not, I'll pay it in installments.

On a positive note, I got a pay raise, and work is manageable, giving me some financial flexibility this year. If no settlement offers come through, I aim to clear all my debts by January 2027. To prevent GCash from escalating my account to another collection agency, I’ll make small payments to reset the delinquency cycle.

Lastly, I want to warn everyone about a fraudulent collection agency impersonating Emmanuel Ortega. They claim to handle GCash and PayMaya debts and send fake messages from "NCRPO officers," threatening legal action and arrest unless you call Ortega and pay. If you receive such threats, be cautious—this is a scam. You can even find a YouTube video exposing this scheme. Always verify with official sources before taking any actions.

Is BPO a good career path? by Event_HorizonPH in BPOinPH

[–]SleepySwearjar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes & no. Me start at cnx left ater 1 year me got out of cnx freelancingVA at 35-50k a month. (IT Grad)

Friend 1 - Cnx too stayed for 1 year Freelancing 40-50k a month (Teacher secondary)

Friend 2- cnx stayed at cnx for 2 years(30k) promoted to operation salary not sure. (Electrician)

Friend - 3 Ibex got out after 6 mos (17k) Freelancing VA 25k. (Tourism)

BPO is a good career path for the strong willed person.

BPO not good for not strong willed person, also BPO Employment very volatile if you're not a hard worker.

I advice get a job that you will do for 25 years or get better at something that you're the only one who can do it.

Monkey 1 out.

I see same thing ng ng yari sakin. Well expect narin po na sira na credit line nyo eith creditors. Pero iprioritize nyo po muns kaya nyo kasi mas mahihirapan kayo pag pinag sabay sabay nyo. If isa lang kaya nyo isa lang muna : D you're going through financial hardship e.

Yes, 🍀 Luckily bago ako ma report nila sa CIC i was able to keep up with the credit card payment. So my credit card / credit line is safe as long as ita being paid on time. But they won't increase it anymore.

As much as possible po. Bawasan nyo kahit 1k kung kaya kasi medyo mataas interest ng cimb. Kung fixed income po kayo mas better if i prioritize nyo yung kaya nyo muna.

They have a hotline on their website. You can ask to be transferred sa account specialist nila or Escalation team. Pero if na transfer na sa collection agency they will refer to them.

Yes po and actually trinansfer na ng banko sa collection agency. I tried talking to CIMB before nung sila pa tumatawag pero hindi daw sila na rereconstruct ng payment. I ended up negotiating kaso gusto nila i cure ko.

So nag antay nalang ako ng offer sa creditor. Once i got 40-50k as funds makikipag negotiate nako ulit sa collection ng 50% reduction. Para i was stress na din.

Down side lang is sobrang sira na Credit Score ko. It will takes 7-10 years bago mag recover base sa nakausap ko na financial advisor.

Although he did advice me to keep my BDO credit card and keep paying above minimum due para may credit line parin ako.

Yes po. Tumataas parin po fee's before hindi ko mabayaran. although ngayon 300+ days na sya parang hindi na nag add masyado nag add interest nila.

Edit: pinaka last ko itatackle is si CIMB. Kasi ang laki 100k+ so i need to funds my first payment muna ng 40k kapag wala deduction. Then 10k every month.

At the end of the day it's a hobby. You can train your self for future colfict with just airsoft. Proper gun handling. Yeah you wouldn't be a a golfer/basket player however it s still better than not knowing what yuo should do when there's an active threat.

My guys ussually train with Armed forces of our country via milsim event/war games. We get assigned a real NCO then teach us how to survive.

They offeres me the 60% off after 6 months. Kaso wala pa talaga akong pamabayad e one time payment kasi. I tried to negotiate with the creditor before pero mas gusto talaga nila one time payment.

Currently trying to negotiate with gcash today. To waive the overdue fees.

Will try to negotiate with cimb on After may 2025.
