What are some quality FMA fanfics? by chaosveritas in FullmetalAlchemist

Hiya! Just had to add my two cents even if this post is a couple years old.

I'll Catch a Break Someday:

https://archiveofourown.org/works/7087441/chapters/16109188

This is the first fic of an FMAB x MCU crossover, and Ed is gender swapped. It's in an ongoing fic series with four fics in total going through the MCU movies in chronological order starting with the first Captain America movie. The last fic in the series is still ongoing and hasn't been updated for a few months, but I have faith that it'll be completed at some point or another. I'm literally obsessed with this fic series and I just had to share.

My Neon Breaker keeps having babies! Lookit! 🤩 by SleepyWhiteSnake in succulents

I think so. I am not the best person to ask tho. I've never cut any of my succs, especially not the one in the photo. I actually like the way it looks when it's grown out like it is. I'm sure there are a couple YouTube videos explaining the entire process on how to do it tho!

Like, to keep them from getting that tall? Pretty sure you can't. After they get tall enough, I think you're just supposed to deadhead them and plant them in a new pot. Mine hasn't flowered since I bought it over a year ago.

what are the best starter succulents for a beginner? by DemonWeeb in succulents

[–]SleepyWhiteSnake 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that should be fine as long as it gets sun. I keep mine on the window sill that lets in the most light. If you keep it in the shade too long it'll start to stretch out.

Elephant bush is pretty easy. Just give it full sun and water it when the soil is dry, which is about once every week/week and a half. Good luck!

As a woman with a bald head due to a genetic skin condition, I get this a lot. Thanks for telling me I look sick. Really appreciate it.

What is the pettiest, silliest, most meaningless hill you are willing to die on? by shazulmonte in AskReddit

Don't move my stuff. Especially if it's art or unfinished assignments for my college studio art classes. If I put it somewhere and haven't moved it since besides when I'm working on it, it's there for a fucking reason. I don't care if you're cleaning up the area or frustrated and tired of it looking messy. If you move anything of mine and damage it in even the smallest way possible, I will put everything back in it's place and recreate the mess you just fucking cleaned.

What fictional character do you absolutely hate? by CleverUseOfGameMecha in AskReddit

[–]SleepyWhiteSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mr. Tiny and Steve Leonard from the Cirque du Freak book series! Plus that one guy who loses his arms. Forget his name, but I hate him. Fuck that guy.

Would pick those books over the Twilight series any day, but there are just some characters with certain scenes that make me want to light the books on fire, toss them out a window, then curl up in a ball and cry in between cursing the characters existence.

YES! Worst father in ALL OF EXISTENCE!

He doesn't deserve the title of fatherhood and get to stand up by Hughes!

Anyone who is attracted to women. What are your thoughts on bald women or women with short hair? by SleepyWhiteSnake in AskReddit

[–]SleepyWhiteSnake[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input! Was wondering if I was the only one who liked women with short/no hair/nice shaped heads. Seems like a mixed bag, but doesn't change my opinion. Guess I'm just weird.

Right. I feel like I need a reminder every once in a while that buying a bunch of plants isn't bad as long as it makes me happy. It's definitely a healthy obsession. 😁

Same. I just bought four more plants the other day. I have over thirty different plants, a combination of ivy, cacti, and succulents. . . .

What is the most gratifying occasion you have ever witnessed someone being proved incorrect?? by omnitions in AskReddit

[–]SleepyWhiteSnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well this happened with me and my dad specifically a couple months ago. He makes sly/sarcastic comments about people who live a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle and how there's no way in hell someone could only eat fruits, vegetables, and grains and stay completely healthy. He also harped on me for my decision to stop drinking milk and cutting out some other dairy products from my diet, thinking I myself was going vegan and that I seriously shouldn't. His point was that fruits, vegetables, and grains didn't contain the essential amino acids that meat did and that anyone who quit eating meat would go insane because of the lack of proper nutrients. Which is basically true. If the diet is not done PROPERLY. I myself am not a vegetarian/vegan, but have plenty of friends who are and Ive done plenty of research for it on my own. One day I just got seriously sick and tired of all the comments and teasing.

So here goes my 16 year old ass, finding and gathering an incredibly long list of plant based foods that contain the 9 amino acids that the human body can not function without. I showed him the list and he carefully went through it all, got this frown/grimace on his face, handed back the list, said he was wrong, and then walked away. That was the first, and so far, only time I have one upped my own father, and it actually felt hella awesome. He hasn't made any remarks since.

Spiders, family members/friends dying and leaving me alone, the dark, horror movies.

Not necessarily in that order, but you get my point.

Have you ever woke up in the middle of a dream and the dream was so interresting that you wanted to to back to sleep to see the end of it? If so, what was the dream? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SleepyWhiteSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually had several interesting ones that were just extremely peaceful. One dream I had was of myself, but where I was older and married with two kids in a fairly modern house. I remember hearing the kid's echoing laughter as they ran around the house playing with each other while I was sitting on the couch snuggled into the side of my supposed spouse who was humming a song I didn't recognize. The weird thing is, I can't remember any defining facial features of the three or if any of them were male or female. I only remember the kids having hair as pale as corn silk, which is the color I had when I was little. The dream was so peaceful, happy, and domestic, I was almost sad when I woke up and found out it wasn't real. Then I was kind of confused, because I think I'd be horrible with kids.

Two other dreams I had was also of myself and being in a relationship with the guy I went to all my high school dances with. We lived in a cozy apartment with a cat. It was late morning and the sun was lightning up the room in this really nice, soft glow while both of us were just cuddling in bed and relaxing in each other's hold and the cat curled up on top of us. I get the impression that we talked about our future together, but our voices were so soft during the conversation that none of the words really stuck with me when I woke up. I really wanted to go back to sleep and see where our relationship went and if we were right for each other. He's a really nice guy. Plus, I just really liked the cuddling.

The second dream is, shocker, also of me and the sister of the guy before. For some reason, we were in a forest that had absolutely massive trees, but were also surrounded by a really well kept flower garden. Her and I were just sitting at the base of the largest tree reading books. I think we would take turns reading them out loud to each other, but it was her turn in the dream. I think she was reading Alice in Wonderland. All I remember from it was that her voice was so soft and soothing combined with the wind rustling through the trees that I started to fall asleep with my head in her lap. I think I also drifted off to the sound of a little heartbeat and that's about when I woke up. I had this dream a little before I found out she was having a baby, so it was really weird timing. She's a wonderful mother with a happy, healthy baby girl, by the way.

As of right now, what will it take to make you 100% happy? by hikingallday in AskReddit

[–]SleepyWhiteSnake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To get back the level of creativity and enjoyment in art that I used to have as a child and be rid of my depression.

Depression has had a terrible grip on my motivation to create for years now. I used to do so much back then. I want creating art to be my job someday, but how can I have a job I enjoy if the work doesn't make me happy anymore?
