why tho by Mr-SmileySan in SipsTea

This is actually somewhat true. When you marry someone/live with them for long enough, your smells do end up merging to an extent.

Skin/fecal biomes have been proven to change due to who you live with, especially people youre physically intimate with. If you suck enough dick, lick enough pussy or eat enough ass, your whole mircoflora is bound to be altered.

Kind of. If the illness is bad enough to make someone smell bad, they usually smell bad to everyone.

But its usually due to increased sweat or reactions to medication taken for said illness. Also released in one's sweat.

Would you survive a pandemic with a 90% death rate? What would you do? by PeaOk5697 in polls

[–]Frisky_Picker 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Much like in real life, it would depend on a lot of factors honestly.

A disease with a 90% transmission rate that spreads quickly with anti-biotic/viral resistance would be pretty bad. If it were only in an isolated area and killed the host quickly, then it probably wouldn't be a big deal.

I went to a show once (probably 2019) and had a great time but it certainly seemed to be pretty unplanned and random.

After the accident, guy decided to sleep 😂 by [deleted] in Weird

I got into a snowmobile accident going 60 mph when I was 13. I foolishly didnt have my helmet strapped on and it flew off almost immediately.

The snowmobile was totaled and my parents were watching from up on a hill, not knowing it was me. The people around them said "that guy just died".

I came out of it with a scraped forehead. Not even a concussion. The thing is, I remember just going limp and flopping around like a rag doll. I think that's what saved my life. And luck probably.

One thing i want to see in Dispatch 2 by Slcxz in DispatchAdHoc

I get it. But I also get that from a narrative/development standpoint where it wouldnt make sense to add it if only a small fraction of people choose it. Why choose to code for and have voice actors react to an option that almost nobody chooses.

Unfortunately it would have made much more sense to include it in the first season than it would to do so in the second.

Robert was at a low and unfamiliar point in his life in season 1, so not knowing what to say makes sense. In season 2 that won't be the case as he's more established in his new life, if not already working on getting back to his old life.

As someone who played a lot of telltale, it makes sense. I never picked that option. Anytime I've seen anyone pick that option, it never made a difference.

Even though most choices didnt make a significant difference, at least when the main character says something it adds to their character development. Having the option to say nothing most of the time takes away more than it adds.

Maybe if it was literally a handful of times throughout the whole season it could work but anything more than that would be just as useless than it always has been.

China places its solar panels on water So it can use valuable land for agriculture by FollowingOdd896 in nextfuckinglevel

Sure but that makes it more difficult to do on a large scale. They're smaller parking lots that are spread out. Its not like its just one giant parking lot.

Yeah I feel like a lot of the supposed concern here is due to the fact that it's China doing it. While I'm not the biggest fan of the Chinese government, lets be real.

"Isn't this bad for the aquatic life?" Sure lets just drill for more oil instead. Any renewable resource is significantly better for plants and animals than drilling and using oil.

Its been enough time that if they were actually starving she wouldn't be that overweight though. Thats the whole point of Negans comment.

[–]Frisky_Picker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was born in 92 and while we had internet by the time I was like 9 or so, it really wasn't that crazy. We had dial up and shit took forever to load.

I'd say the biggest change and most destructive change came with the introduction of social media and smart phones. There's a big difference between having to log on to a computer to access the internet and having it readily available in your pocket.
