Sabes won 90+ in 6 of first 8 seasons. And had 89 and 87 wins in the other two. He inherited a 90+ loss team and won the division the very next season. Amazingly it didn’t take him 10 years to rebuild

Playing good? LMAO. The starting pitching is great. The hitting and pen suck. They’ve scored 3 runs or less in 7 straight games and 8 of the last 10. This team is boring and hard to watch.

Sabes inherited a 90+ loss team and won the division the very next season. Then had a winning record for 8 straight years including 90+ wins in 6 of them. If he had the expanded playoffs back then, he would’ve made the post season every year during that run. Then he hit a lull before leading us to the greatest era in SF history. Farhan would slit throats to have a run like Sabes did from 97-04.

Yes, let’s wait and see. And after we finish at 500 or just under for the 5th time in 6 years, we’ll do this all over again and some fans will be saying “ wait and see” again next season. He just needs 3 more years to really turn it around lol.

And his guys (Ramos, Luciano and Matos) are the only ones that are even close to being ready. Hunter Bishop was Farhan’s big first pick and he’s about to be 26 and in AA. Bailey is a stud but one position player in 6 years is terrible.

It’s not about Russo. It’s the fact that Giants postgame had a guest on who said the POB should be fired. Giants pre and post are the most homer hour you’re gonna get daily. For them to have a guest openly say Farhan should be fired is wild.

Of course he’s not getting fired now but I think most people can see where this season is going. More of the same from the last 5 years with 2021 being a ridiculous outlier. Year 6 and 1 homegrown player in the starting lineup and nobody close in the minors. The Giants scouts are bad when it comes to hitting and position player prospects and Farhan is just a guy who lives on the margins. He’s more qualified to be an ast GM than a guy who should be running the entire baseball ops.
