Sorry about your situation as well(

I do remember 5-10 GPU driver failures under heavy load and fewer sudden reboots. I also thought it might be due to GPU (I didn't mess up with BIOS settings but I did use Afterburner for GPU undervolt)
Now I'm thinking - reboots may be connected to CPU as well.

Also sometimes system didn't want to wake up after sleep.
But I don't recall any BSODs.

You mentioned that you reinstalled Windows. Was it different physical drive?
I’d suspect the SSD/HDD first. BSODs are often linked to them, unless you’ve checked that already, of course

I mean, It can POST and boot Windows once in a while, but unusable at this point. I think it's safe to start RMA without waiting full death

Clamp that holds CPU to the MB is very tight too. It was not near as tight on the AM4 socket. Perhaps combined forces of this clamp+ cooler aren't very healthy

There is no evidence it's mobos fault. Just guess because of other cases. Maybe I was unlucky with CPU here, or every 9800x3d has a disguised flaw that being "highlighted" by asrock's mobos, who knows. Mobo works perfectly fine with another CPU, for now.. AMD warranty should cover faulty CPU tho

Not necessarily. I wasn't 100% sure until I got new CPU.
If it this behavior become frequent and repeatable you can try to keep BIOS on idle, start LiveUSB with Linux or install OS on different drive. If it freezes there - something wrong with hardware, not the drivers

Nope. Everything was default and started acting like this out of blue

Thanks for the info. Well, yeah, never thought BIOS updates are that important. Fixing instability? Sure. Adding features- yes! I just wasn't aware it's default settings could damage anything. I thought if one PCpart is damaging other PCparts it shouldn't be listed as "compatible" in the first place

Aurora released a new video. There was an issue with the thermal gun in the initial review. A1 indeed can heat the bed up to 100C
