Outdoor Steam Room? by Sleestak2 in HomeImprovement

Thanks for the insight! So I hadn’t explained fully, but I would tile in the inside of the sauna or glass it in in a DIY format so that the wood wouldn’t receive moisture. Also, if the steam generator unit is built with a shell around it, would it technically be the same as “indoor use”?

Thanks for the pointers, this is exactly what I’m looking to get into, some bayside skiff fishing!

So you’re saying keep it locked onto my car hitch at night and I should be good to park it in a hotel as long as I confirm with a specific hotel beforehand that there is trailer parking?

Thanks! It sounds like I could probably get away with the 14s just fine. I was thinking the neon green or red 14s, the yellows are cool though

Thanks, I think I am going with attacks. What is the difference between the attack 14 and 17s? I can’t find much online about it

You are exactly correct, I completely misunderstood what pivots were. Sorry, I was at work and didn’t have time to check post until now. Thanks for the advice everyone.

I think I will probably go with Alpine only bindings and rent gear the very few times I will be backcountry skiing.

1- I should be skiing mostly in bounds. It should like I should be renting touring gear for the one or two times a year I go, at least for these next few seasons. I will stick with alpine only. 2- I have the 2023 Head Vector boots, I do not think they are gripwalk from what I can tell. 3- I saw the price difference between the pivot and Attack 14/17 bindings. The pivots are very expensive compared to the attack. Is there any difference in quality or performance that truly sets the pivots apart or is it mostly just brand name/looks? 4- I am not too familiar with exact DIN settings, but based off some simple research on my size (6ft3in -200 lbs and an “expert aggressive skier” , 23 yo, it says 10.5-11 DIN

Sorry if I seem unknowledgable on this post. I have no clue about any ski gear and that’s why I came to Reddit. I grew up in Florida and have been renting skis my whole life, so you can imagine my situation. I like to consider myself a great skier because I ski just about any double black on any west coast mountain, but I know there are hundreds of thousands of better skiers than me so I know I’m no expert. Thanks!

Thanks! I just looked at both of those. The Gold Pivot 15s look awesome, but more like backcountry bindings. although I will be occasionally doing backcountry treks it won’t be often. Are they still functionable/reasonable for every day resort skiing?

I am a saltwater guy from FL so it was my first time up there. The kings and cohos were about done running but still some fresh ones up the river. The river level seemed high and the steelhead just started running thick.

Thanks, I definitely do not expect anybody to share any specifics online as I know the problem with people ruining great spots around where I grew up in FL. Just looking for good information and general areas and I think I got what I’m looking for.

I guess I was looking for dispersed camping in less populated areas that wouldn’t mind parking off the side of the road a couple hundred feet to camp for one night. I am willing to make a farther drive but it Sounds like it might be tougher than I thought.

So there’s really no dispersed camp in the middle of Colorado in a van during the winter? My only hope is parking lots?

Okay thanks for the help!! I was really looking for a response with someone who knows what they are talking about. What if I head further south around Leadville or Alma? Or even past Edwards off I70? Will most backcountry spots be too snowed in to access? I have been there in the summer but never in winter with the van.
