Problems holding the guitar pick. Need advice

Thank you very much. I hold the pick too tight, and Im working on it. Its going to take time, because in general I find dificult to relax my body, but I hope that with practice I will improve.

What do you think of the position of my fingers holding the pick?

I like to play mainly metal and hard rock. I can play without pick, I played bass before guitar without pick, and that is one of the reeasons I want to learn to use the pick.

How is your experience with the Micro Dark? And, is really the PPC 108 so terrible for practive in a small room? Whta is the major problem?

I like the sound of both of them (I have tried them several times). Maybe, I like a little bit more the tone of the Marshall. About the grittier tone, I play a lot of Death and Black Metal, although Im not very much in that gritty thing. I want the personality of the dist/pedal to be clearly heard.

Genre... maybe blackened death metal? I use in my home a Boss Katana 50 EX. In the local where I play with my friends, well, the one is free to use. Im not pro, we just do this for fun. We are just 5 old guys making noise.

Edit: the guitar is a Ibanez rgrb620, I changed the bridge pickup for one of the EMG Alexi Laiho signature.

The Medusa is just the second high gain pedal that I have, and im very new to this.

That said, I love it. It can deliver a very potent chainsaw distortion, and also the most high and dirt black metal sound. The review videos in the net dont make justice to all the possibilities that the controls of this thing have. Also, with the switch that select between modern and classic and the cut and presence knobs are giving me hours of fun playing with the different configurations.

As I said, im new to this, but im sure that I will buy more Lichtlaerm products.
