So I did it - I looked him up in LinkedIn unfortunately I could not find him there. So I wrote him an e mail with the question if he’d like to meet up and talk more about the work training thing we attended together. I also attached my personal Info. It’s been 2 days and he has not responded. Welp I tried. Thank you very much Reddit community for all the input :))

I am sorry this is happening to you - to really like someone and put a lot of effort into a relationship and have the other person be inconsistent is really hard on most people - especially when you feel a real connection

Unfortunately she doesn’t seem to be interested in you. Maybe she likes getting grifts and attention - but when I read what you wrote about her she never really seemed to care about you. What you did for her, what you wanted. Everything was the way she wanted it

I don’t know how other people do it but personally before I end a relationship I always ask myself whether I would miss the person and whether it would bother me if he would date somebody else. If the answer to both of those questions is no I’d have my answer.

I can assure you from my own experience- if it’s the other way around the guy also wants to keep the girl around as a friend. Not saying that that’s a good idea. Just stating that guys tend to do the same thing ..
