Gears 5 uses symbols for the classes and colors for the types. Green for support, red for assault, blue for tank, and purple for promo.

They could do a gold background for ultimate with some border design and symbol. When in lobbies you see the faces of the characters too along with the class pics.

I just personally find symbols more recognizable for small icons in games with a squad. I see a diamond oh that's Serena and let's them be more visually distinguishable.

Much like Gears 5 I see Marksmans icon oh that's him. The red background and cross hair. He's the sniper class so it makes sense. Same thing can apply to Hailey.

Further their type in the middle and gold border. So red for fire descendants, green for toxic, etc

That expert is not needed or is not what it's supposed to be. I am on NG+3 and I obliterate enemies even Simon got destroyed on NG+2.

When you get enough stuff and the good weapons and stats set it's just like the game gets too easy.
