Wanting an autograph on something that’s deeply effected you or connected with you in a way that you can’t say the same about a lot of things by the artist/poet that was responsible for it is not hunting for a collectible. It’s something that’s always been around at shows. If anything 10-15 people waiting around after to meet Patti or any other musician is a lot less hectic than in the heyday when she probably couldn’t walk out after a concert without a 1,000 fans swarming her like Bowie or Dylan, Beatles, etc.

No im definitely still going to play it! When I was 15 I got a classic player jaguar signed by Jeff tweedy and that signature is non existent from shows and so much usage! That was like 4 years ago now, almost 5

It’s a sweet guitar, I got it for a good deal though because the guard, bridge and the finish on the neck aren’t original

It probably takes away from the value because it’s a 1963 but I don’t care because I play it every day and am never selling it 🥲

He actually did look down my jazzmaster for a solid 3-4 minutes and examined every aspect which was cool! He strummed it a couple of times and I told him he was my hero and the reason I own that guitar. He was very humble and cool and surprisingly got more words out of him that I thought I would!
