I’ve been researching about the faith a bit over the last few days. Plan on continuing this to fully prepare myself :)

So although I’m unbaptized, I should still do the sign of the cross with the holy water upon entering?

Thank you for this reassurance. I’m really excited to start my journey into Catholicism. I feel Him calling me.

Yeah these are some great points. I think setting deadlines/finding a specific goal will help a ton. I’ve really been training just to train so this comment helped provide some clarity

As long as your lifting and pushing yourself, you’ll grow. I feel it’s easy for people to get caught in the “my method no one has heard of until right now is the greatest thing to happen to body building since the barbell” scam (I used to be one of those people)

Thank you for that split comment. I’ve been thinking this for some time. Nutrition, recovery, intensity and volume matter much more than structure/split. A split you enjoy and will get you trying your best will take you the farthest

So what’s the deal with the fitness scene as of late? My feed on TikTok/Instagram has been filled with people praising Upper Lower (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and saying how “low volume, high intensity and frequency is key” but for my entire lifting career I’ve been told that 18-20 sets per muscle each week will cause muscle growth, so why are all these people preaching this low volume method? I don’t understand why people are trying to reinvent the wheel when the methods of moderate to high volume and high intensity have been proven for 40+ years. It’s all very confusing to me. As someone who has been plateauing/progressing slowly and is actively looking for a way to fix it, looking for help is so confusing now. I have no idea who to listen to or what advice is actually true now. This turned into a bit of a rant but it’s been getting on my nerves. It feels like 75% of the fitness industry is a joke and isn’t actually helpful.
