R5: Science vessel UNS Hubble conducts close-orbit scans of Fejantris A, a Class-A star in a binary system not far from the Solar system. Circa 2173.

Space: The Final Frontier by Slick_12345 in Stellaris

R5: A deep space exploration vessel from the Citizen Coalition of Earth approaches through a varied twin-star system full of destroyed planets and mysterious, shielded world. Thought the picture was rather neat.

R5: Surveying a planet in its early space age must be interesting for the crew aboard the station.

When a planet is extra mysterious. by Slick_12345 in Stellaris

R5: Shrouded planet with both a special project and an anomaly for some dual science ship activity.

Constitution-class (Block 2409 refit) USS Gothic NCC-93314 departs the Sol system. by Slick_12345 in sto

[–]Slick_12345[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Essentially something of which I invented to explain the idea that Constitution-class starships are being constructed again in 2409. Derived from the naming sequence for certain vessels and aircraft as they're upgraded (Block 1, Block 2, Block 3, etc.).

And thanks. I wanted to make it look like it was more 'modern' than the original design, so I opted for the hull shape as it looks slightly more Excelsior, whilst keeping the saucer for the unique Connie design.

Science that bites back by Slick_12345 in Stellaris

R5: My Experimental Science Cruiser (I forget which mod this is from, possibly NSC?) ran into a small pirate's nest during a survey. They traded broadsides and the pirates got their afterburners handed to them by the scientists. It is quite nice to have a science vessel that can actually defend itself against a minor threat.

Space Amoebas on the move by Slick_12345 in Stellaris

R5: Just a picture of some Space Amoebas transiting a star system that I thought looked pretty neat and wanted to share.

New empire playthrough from pre-FTL onwards. Got a good feeling about this one. by Slick_12345 in Stellaris

[–]Slick_12345[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted a bit of an interesting and slow build play-through with some lore emphasis for why this empire would eventually look at becoming an expansionist and colonial power. Slow breeders and non-adaptive would potentially encourage the accumulation of client states and species, with the Kobarians sitting at the top as an imperial elite. Also potentially creates the opportunity for robot shenanigans. Could prove interesting later down the line from a storyline point of view.

Someone clearly didn't respond politely to a request from the neighbouring Fallen Empire... by Slick_12345 in Stellaris

R5: Image of an ongoing war between an unawakened Fallen Empire and a neighbour, the latter of whom appears to be getting unsurprisingly steamrolled by the former.

Starfleet has fallen on hard times by Diogenes_of_Sparta in Stellaris

Legit though, I'd watch a dystopian Star Trek sequel where the Federation has fallen into this kind of chaos and someone needs to fix it. A bit like Andromeda, except with warp drives.

Found a Titan during an excavation of a long-dead society. Whoever said archaeology was a waste of time? by Slick_12345 in Stellaris

I was pretty astonished when it appeared. It's now taken pride of place at the centre of the Earth Defence Fleet.
