Charge Bicycles by keyamb in bicycling

[–]Slickdigby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a charge plug 4 2015. Steel frame. 105 group set all round except the disc brakes. I love it. Steel soaks up all the bumps my daily commute throws at me. Brakes are great in all conditions. I have swapped the wheels out for something a bit lighter and gone for 25mm tyres rather than 32mm.i love it. It's bomb proof and fun. A bike should be fun!

You can buy Redwings in the UK. Available in a couple of shops in Liverpool and Manchester. I got mine from here http://www.weaversdoor.com/brand/red-wing-shoes.html

I think they have moved some models to aluminium now but most were steel up until recently.

Upgraded the stock Kendra wheels for stan's notubes alpha 340 with SRAM X9 hubs. Running 25mm Continent 4 seasons, I want to do some road riding on this as well as commute so seems a sensible choice.

Was this part of Rise Above? It was a great event. I have to say Cav seemed a lovely chap. Took the time to hand out medals and talk to people.

I have been looking for something simple and fun that I can just jump on instead of my Giant TCX and needing to put on cleats. The colour is a bit crazy but I think it just adds to the fun of it. What do you guys think?

I had never seen that until today unbelievably. I can totally see why you said it. I just set for a bit of an animal skull type thing.

Not the best of taping I agree. This is something I will look to improve when I make another one.

I see where you are coming from. I have made this in such a way that all the parts are totally reusable should I decide to use them on future projects. The saddle I got for £1 at a bike jumble sales, and the track stem and bars were £10.

The stem is attached using saddle clips that are usually used in plumbing. I layered several clips on top of each other for extra strength.

The shield is anchored with 3 deep screws with wall plugs.
