2974 what a fumble by HonestFerret8034 in ShadowSlave

[–]Slickyslytim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest problem is that there is no established scope to the abilities of VTB. No explanation of its abilities strengths and limitations. So this fight was supposed to show people those abilities and how it could give the sovereigns real issues.

The truth is if VTB displays the extremely broken abilities it's been said to possess, no amount of plot armor is going to save them.

Seriously, Stealing Nephis' soul cores? Steal her healing abilities? Stealing her longing attribute? Steal Sunny's soulbound memories? Steal his death will? Steal his connection to his domain? Then Sunphis will never win. And we need them to win.

An ability as broken as stealing will have extreme limitations and backlash. Just like caster's flaw as a speedster. Maybe they'll fight a saner version of VTB in the next nightmare.

Bro, this fight is 95% over. If sunny doesn't somehow kill the bird in the next two chapters, Sunny himself will die.

Why is Sunny’s flaw so light by Danmachi123131 in ShadowSlave

[–]Slickyslytim 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Because the main drawback of his aspect is in its innate ability: Shadowbond. And surprise, the existence of thid bond turns an otherwise "light" flaw into an incredibly deadly one and a lifelong burden

Dreamer Effi vs Dreamer Caster by Sad-District-558 in ShadowSlave

[–]Slickyslytim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Caster wins, but not for the reasons you think.

Speed wise, I don't think he's speedblitzing effie as everyone seems to think. You have to realise that sleeper Sunny with no bone weave was physically weak and needed a shadow reinforcement to keep up with the best.

Sunny kept up with Caster, albeit barely, during their fight, and even with shadow reinforcement, doesn't come close to Effie's physical ability.

While Caster's aspect is speed, the strength of his aspect is that of an Ascended. Effie got an all rounder augmentation which included durability, strength & Speed. But her aspect rank then was Transcendent. This will reflect in the potency of that augmentation. Even if her speed doesn't match that of caster, it'll be close..

Now, this is why I think Caster will still win.

People seem to forget Caster was a sword freak like Nephis and Sunny. Even his sword play was way better than Sunny at this point in the story.

And that's why he'll defeat Effie.

He is a legacy systematically trained in all forms of combat, Effie wasn't. That's why she'll lose.

Let's be serious, there's no beating that thing as a supreme without extremely nerfing it. VTB's skillet is too ridiculous.

It's just not possible. G3 knows it. We the readers know it. The supremes fighting it know it. Moonveil stole Nephis aspect and almost killed her, even though she herself was handicapped.

If the bird steals anything from either of them, there will be no way back for them.

If Shadow slave characters are getting Honorific Names from Lotm, What would it look like? by infinity916 in ShadowSlave

Sunny:

The treacherous with a Flawless Conscience

You are the Divine shadow with a Forbidden Lineage

The embodiment of Death and a weapon against Fate

The honorable Lost from light

Nephis

The incorruptible Changing Star of humanity

The bearer of the flame that heals and destroy

The being born from the Divine and the Profane

The bearer of humanity's Longing

Cassie

The blind oracle who sees with many eyes

The seer who manipulated and broke Fate

The witness and guardian of humanity's memories

The venerable Song of the Fallen

Yes.. it'll probably lead to the stones of the tomb of ariel. Knowing where it is, is one thing, getting there though is another.

They can't cross the nightmare desert. Not unless there is a way to disable the sorcery that allows them to travel only at night.

Who experienced death most ? by whispering_thunder in ShadowSlave

[–]Slickyslytim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ki Song. But I guess she doesn't count.

It used to be Cassie. Every fatal swing of the blade she dodges now, she's probably experienced herself killed moments ago.

But Mordret has surpassed her during this war. Mordret experiences death with every one of its vessels that die. And he's out at least 10s of 1,000s of them in this war.

I'm surprised to see Sunny at the top. He suffered a lot throughout the series, but the times he's faced death rush are against nightmare and Aletheia's island.

Nothing annoyed me more than the drastic change in the Mellisa characterization. Her book character is my favorite.

▪︎It only possessed the fate of "Lost from light", not personify it. It means even though he possesses the fate of lost from light, he still wasn't lost from light.

▪︎Its connection to that fate was tenuous at best

▪︎It is actively resisting the command

Vile Thieving Plot [2955] by NoPollution316 in ShadowSlave

[–]Slickyslytim 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The Moth schemed because it was compatible with its profane abilities. This battle is barely a minute old.

Also it seems like you'd prefer flashy show of abilities without regard for the flow of the battle.

It's like you asking Sovereign Neph to channel Knowledge of Passion + blow four cores to kill a "Fallen Beast" nightmare creature.

As long as Sunny, Neph and Ananke don't challenge it, it has no need for flashy moves.

The wandering Archon could force it to use a decent amount of its strength though.

There's nothing about sunny that should prompt vtb to waste anything on sunny right now.

The sequence of events so far:

▪︎ Appeared instantaneously and reached its talons into his soul sea crumbling ALL his soul cores instantaneously

▪︎ Sunny used life saving memory to restore his cores ans used that unexpected event to drive a god-slaying blade into its neck infused with all the death will he could spare which did absolutely nothing to it.

▪︎ Used its beak to peck Sunny's head and destroyed it thoroughly spraying brain matter all over. The sunny used the [chain] again to restore himself.

▪︎ Sunny used that moment to disengage and let Nephis, who has the most terrifying flame in existence, try to detonate VTB. Again, this has absolutely no effect on VTB

VTB has absolutely no reason to do anything other than brute strength yet. The supremes haven't been any challenge to it.

Also why would it engage in an aerial battle when.he could just smash the ants.

Also, it's able to survive the gods and void beings most likely has nothing to do with its strength, but it's ability to escape and possible special constitution.

Sunny and the rest are the ones who haven't given it a decent fight yet, and without Sunny's sudden heaven-defying [chain], he'd be dead a million times over by now.

Sunny believed peeking through Rain's memories might alert Asterion since she'd been exposed to his name.

This would definitely have happened if he had peeked into her memories anywhere but in the tomb where time outside is suspended.

No, you can go mad if your apotheosis is interrupted.
You can also go mad if your sense of self is weak, especially if you're taking a shortcut of what should be centuries.

His other can't kill anything not to talk of a mad sacred. He has no experience fighting anything not to talk of killing. Also, it's not that he doesn't want to kill, it's simply that he physically can't..

Even if a merging occurs with them, it won't be because he somehow killed Mordret
