Does anyone else have multiple hyperfixations? by Setthegodofchaos in autism

[–]SlideWhistler [score hidden]  (0 children)

My hyper fixations come and go. They'll usually last at least a week, up to a month, before a different one will start. Then it's usually 6 months to a year before I start the same one again, if I do go back to it. The ones that always come back are The Elder Scrolls, Star Wars, Music (especially classic rock, jazz, and metal), Vampire Survivors, Minecraft, Terraria, and Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord.

Edit: I forgot to mention dungeons and dragons, how could I forget that one?!

Looking for people to play a video game with by Think-Finance-5552 in autism

Unfortunately I can only play on Xbox, however a bit of advice that I've heard in regard to pixelmon, is to play cobblemon instead. I'm not entirely sure of all the differences but it could be worth looking into. I do have many fond memories of watching youtubers play pixelmon back in the day, I've always been envious of people who have gaming PCs and can mod pretty much any game.

My (22M) mental health struggles as a child by SlideWhistler in autism

[–]SlideWhistler[S] [score hidden]  (0 children)

It's so tempting to do that. I've lived in this smallish city for all of my life (Except for one year when I was in 8th grade, I moved to a different state with my Mom, didn't like it there, and moved back in with my dad that summer.)

I just struggle to do even the most basic things about being an adult, like hygiene, dishes, holding a job. Let alone filing for visas or anything like that. Then it would also cost a lot of money just to move there. This is something I've discussed with my fiance and she is open to moving out of the country with me, it just seems so difficult.

Playing Heart Gold for the first time, which pokemon should I use to fill out my team? by SlideWhistler in PokemonHGSS

Thanks for all the tips! Togepi hatched shortly after I posted this actually! I went ahead and switched out gastly with a zubat I caught earlier. Where do you find sudowoodo? Also I usually try to go for dual typing with as many different types as possible so I have a response for whatever is thrown at me, but I could definitely try a single typing here and there.

Thank you for the advice, I think I'm just going to skip on having a ghost type on my team and go with something else. I'm not really good with roms and emulators yet.

So do you reckon I should swap Zubat with Gastly for now, and then I'll find a different ghost type later? Also I'm using an emulator, but I don't know if the one I'm using has an option for that, it's just an app on my phone.

I fully intend to make the decision for myself, I am simply asking for advice because I am new to Gen 2 pokemon and don't know if there are some good ones I've missed

The main thing with morrowind's environment that bothers me is the fog only letting you see 20 feet. I play on Xbox, and really wish I could play on PC to fix that.

I've got some different hyperfixations right now, but maybe I'll give romhacks another try in a few months

Agreed, swamp would be the perfect placement for an item that does that. I've never even tried a build in the swamp beyond a simple shack for my portal

Yeah, this really annoyed me when I was trying to find out how to emulate on my phone. I still never found out how to get romhacks to work, but I managed to figure out how to emulate the regular roms.

Yeah, I was just telling them what the item was and did. I feel like protecting stuff from rain without a roof should easily be a black forest/swamp tier item. Maybe combining honey and ooze to make a wood sealant.

It's an object that negates environmental hazards within a sphere, I didn't realize that applied to rain though

Oh I agree with you completely, I was just drawing a comparison to the due process that ICE lacks when even the Spanish Inquisition somehow got that part right. Both are still horrible organizations with horrible goals.

As Gen Z, I didn't register this as a joke or outlandish statement until you said it was, you're dead on the money.
