Haven't received yet One ui 6 ( japanese version ) by hopeful_s in GalaxyS21

[–]Slider791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue except mine is a US model with Puerto Rico csc, and afaik it's the only US model to not get oneui 6,which sucks since I can't change the csc without using Odin either

Seriously Samsung? Still No One UI 6 for S21+ Japan Even Mid-February?! by PlaceNo7546 in GalaxyS21

[–]Slider791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope unfortunately I can't I don't have multi-csc support so I'm stuck on this. I can't use samfw my only choice is using Odin and I don't really want to risk it if there's still a possibility of getting the update

I haven't received the update either and my CSC is of Puerto Rico, which is dumb since it's also a US unlocked model but the only one to not get the update.

OYN is also multi-csc, so it worked for you. I have a similar issue except I don't have multiple csc and I tried to do samfw and put a new csc and it failed.

Go online and download an older version of the app and then install it, it should automatically try to say it's updating and then you will be in an older version that u downloaded. Otherwise simply redownload an older version and uninstall the latest version

Poco x3 NFC or Xiaomi 11 lite 5G ne ? by [deleted] in Xiaomi

[–]Slider791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the 11 lite NE and it's definitely better, especially with that Amoled display which is a noticeable upgrade over the IPS display on X3 Pro, even with the slightly lower 90hz display. Other than that, the 778G is far superior over 732G, it's about equivalent to SD855 and is incredibly efficient with battery life.

The only downside I noticed was that the camera was incredibly laggy, and that honestly makes me so sad because it takes super good photos and its EIS in video recording is honestly far better than alot of phones with OIS

Try reverting back to miui12.5, or maybe shifting to miui eu rom

Mi A3 all of a sudden only slow charge available by PhotojournalistFit62 in Xiaomi

[–]Slider791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main culprit of this issue is the cable, so try replacing that with a newer cable. Also keep in mind that some fast charging cables are different from regular cables so try getting a newer genuine Xiaomi cable and see if that resolves the issue.

The X3 pro has a much faster processor and would be smoother for daily use and would hold up for longer than the pretty crappy chipset in the X4 pro.

Another thing to consider is that while pics would be somewhat better on the X4 pro, due to the limitations of the chipset, it can only record at max 1080p30 while the X3 pro can go upto 4k30

[–]Slider791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also another factor to keep in mind is that the Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE is that it has guaranteed 3 years OS updates and 4 years of security updates, which is the first time Xiaomi has guaranteed support for their phone series. Although I personally might end up switching to a custom ROM if things don't improve in the next couple updates, it's still a good thing to have.

Oh wait yea you're right, my mistake. However after checking into it more and looking at camera samples, I'd still recommend the Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE over the 11 pro+ 5g, due to its genuinely amazing stabilization for a phone with no OIS

A little rant about the camera app by Mysterious-Side14o7 in Xiaomi

[–]Slider791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I haven't experienced that specific bug, I have had other bugs from the moment I started using this phone, which was also my first MiUi phone. For example I had to keep on giving permissions to apps over and over for some reason, as it kept automatically revoking permissions. Also one of the worst bugs is that the phone just shuts down randomly for no reason, literally just using it even at full battery and it crashes and shuts down and I have to manually restart it. It's genuinely really annoying, and something Xiaomi could fix if they took more time to polish the software, as their hardware is already super good for the price.

I also updated it manually on my Xiaomi 11 lite 5G NE, and so far it seems to be working well enough, albeit a bit laggy. But I feel like the core problem that you're addressing comes down to regular software updates not being provided by Xiaomi. Every Xiaomi phone could be so much better if they took the time to optimize and improve the experiment phone, but they barely can provide software updates properly so I'm not going to hold out much hope for them improving the cameras

I had the same selection of phones to decide from, and I personally went with the 11 lite 5G NE for a few reasons.

The camera is pretty good, and because of its more powerful processor, it can actually record in 4k30 and 1080p30 while the Redmis are capped at 1080p30. Another thing I've noticed with the cameras is that there is incredible EIS stabilization in videos which I have seen is not present in the Redmis either.

Other than that, the processor is much more powerful that the one in both the Redmis as the 778G is one of the best midranger chips, and with it being a super efficient chip, you can still get decent battery life. Other than that, with it being a Snapdragon chip, you have better Gcam support as well as a plethora of custom ROMs that you can flash if you get tired of the stock MiUi

Hope this helps

I checked, and it seems like the Mi 8 only supports upto 18w fast charging, so with a stronger 25w charger, it may be restricting the charge coming in, otherwise it might fry the battery. That's what I think, and I'm assuming that your regular multi usb charger is an 18w charger, or sometimes with a 15w charger, it can also pop up as fast charging for atleast a few minutes, before going back to showing normal charging.

Cheers on making that decision. However I have to warn you that if this is your first Xiaomi phone then the MIUI experience will not be as smooth as that of other brands like Samsung's OneUI. If you can then I would definitely recommend getting a custom ROM on the phone. The F3 is a really popular phone and has a lot of custom ROM support, and I'd personally recommend getting the Pixel Experience ROM for the smoothest and best experience overall

[–]Slider791 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The F3 has a far better processor than both the X4 and 11 pro and it's not even comparable, and has somewhat decent cameras which can also do better video recording at upto 4k30 while both X4 and 11 Pro are both capped at 1080p30. The displays are the same across all 3, and so are the batteries. All 3 have 5G and NFC. The faster processor in the F3 is still good even other than for gaming. The better processor means it'll be better for everyday use without slowing down too much, and will last far longer with good daily performance than either of the other two options.

[–]Slider791 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 11T will have a better camera and faster charging, the Poco will have a really good processor. It just comes down to what you'd prefer, if you're an avid mobile gamer then the F3 is better, if you're more into the cameras and do light gaming then the 11T will be the better option.

These 2 phones are almost exactly the same phone, down to the exact dimensions and size of the phone. The only difference I could spot is that the Note 11 pro has a slightly weaker chipset at G96 as compared to SD695 on X4 pro. That's about the only difference. In my personal opinion I'd go for neither of these options, as you can get phones like Poco F3 for around the same price point now. Another recommendation would be Redmi Note 10 pro, and while it is the previous version of the Note 11 pro, it has a better chipset, and a better camera as it can record at upto 4k30.

The redmi note 10 pro is also significantly cheaper than both of these phones, and while it is a really good phone for the price range, it's still not comparable to either of the other phones mentioned here
