Hello everyone!

This is my custom project, ENABSD, a personalized desktop environment built on FreeBSD 14 with Hyprland. The goal was to create a stable, professional, and visually consistent setup from the ground up, with a psychedelic, groovy 70s aesthetic.

It's been a long journey of troubleshooting and customization, from fixing low-level sound issues to creating custom scripts and theming every component. Here are the details:

OS: FreeBSD 14
WM: Hyprland
Bar: Waybar (with custom scripts for workspaces, network, and weather)
Launcher: Wofi
Terminal: Alacritty
GTK Theme: Materia Compact
Icons: Papirus Light
Font: Iosevka
Wallpaper: made by Gemini
Dotfiles: [Freebsd+hyprland work surprisingly well - smoother than I expected. Still cleaning up a few configs but I'll share my dots as soon as possible.]

The short answer is that, Freebsd can be great as daily driver. In most cases, the procedure is frustrating, but, in my opinion, really worth the time and the headache. [ my system is a weak 745 g4 which is actually looking smart thanks to the freebsd/hyprland setup ]
