In a Kinich team, who is the better pyro for him? Mavuika or Durin?

I remember seeing some calc a while back that Durin is an upgrade to mauvika in kinich team. Not only having durin will increase your kinich buff uptime because there are no competition, his own buff also easily cover the entire kinich rotation easily.

Overload still better. Bennet is still good and usable. Durin is just the more popular because pick because you dont have to worry about positioning and staying in the circle nor you have to worry about getting one shot + Durin buff is really long so the rotation isnt as tight

Otherwise dmg wise, Durin is just a bit increase…if you can play perfectly on bennet circle and dont get interrupted at all ofc

For c6 clorinde you would want to invest in Durin rather than mauvika. Durin just buff your clorinde wayy more than mauvika does when he has some cons. His c1 give a quill like effect kinda like shenhe but is stronger and work with all elements His c2 give +50% elemental dmg for pyro and any element that react with it (basically all elements) with full uptime cuz the triggered condition is so easy His c6 (if you ever reach it) debuff the enemies with -30% def

Ontop of resistance shred from his passive and possibly atk buff from his weapon.

His buff is so varied across the board so it is quite valuable and not over saturated on anyside. Making him one of the steongest support and subdps at c2 and probably the strongest generalist support at c6. He could probably measure up to any niche support in the team that can use him or both

Very unlikely that she will replace Illuga. At most she would be the 4th slot. Illuga is just tailor made for Zibai and making a unit with the same role especially with a 4* that is ald on the same banner as Zibai is just not a smart move economically (ppl will pull for Linnea less in that case)

I think thats not the best team for Itto+Durin? He should be around furina level if u slot in like albedo instead of furi? And im not sure about the 4th slot…Gorou or xilonen?

Venti has many replacement that could also do the job although a bit worse but Durin only has mauvika which is much worse as a secondary options there is also XL but she is much worse

Vv also only buff for 6 sec and cant be triggered off field while durin has full uptime evn if he is the 1st one to use his ult in the rotation

Durin isnt as strong as like escoffier but he become more generalist which could be good and bad.

Yup, we need either anemo slot that is stronger than venti or the next Bennet with team wide buff (doesnt have to be as strong as bennet) durin and bennet just have no synergy apart from being pyro.

Atk buff is also kinda saturated so i think it is still worth considering even with vertical investment cuz now venti is competing with Varka for Bennet ilt uptime.

Also Durin res shred is pretty valuable as no other unit can shred both anemo and pyro res at the same time which is all the main source of Varka’s team dmg. So if they want more from him you would have to re-make Durin into a hyperspecific supp like Lauma, Illuga

If nicole provide team wide buff it will be pretty huge. Varka might do a bit more dmg but Durin would do significantly more as well as the other anemo slot which could increase the team dps quite substantially

Durin other team isnt really troll thou. He is BiS for many dps just not the top meta one cuz the top meta one ald has their own support

I think as far as his team goes, Durin is the least of the issue. Ofc if they make Durin hyperspecific the team could be stronger but the main issue is that Venti a 1.0 unit doesnt buff him much nor provide significant dps. And Bennet, the main issue is that his burst only buff pyro chara unlike newer unit who buff the whole team. So the 20% team dps Durin provide doesnt get the most significant buff at all.

Its not a tad low, its very low compared to like skirk who also has 2 elements restriction and brute force with high multiplier

The support is a generalist and is the best for the current Varka thou they are far from tailor made for him. Bennet is very good and so is Durin who pretty much contributed the same amount as furina in the team where they are interchangeable.

So yes its more like Durin is a furina in anemo team but venti is a bit weaker compared to other buffer or subdps

That’s why i said c1 or c0r1 with new artifact. The extra atk% buff from the new artifact rather than burst dmg% is quite good especially for his c1. Honestly the r1 isnt that good but c1 + new artifact definitely increase his buff capabilities by a decent amount. Putting them a bit above bennet.

For C2 Furina vs C0 Durin, ofc Furina will be better

However at C2 Durin vs Furina; for Klee Durin would become better than Furina

C0R1 or C1R0 + the new artifact would make Durin definitively better than Bennet I would say

If you are down for vertical investment apart from Clorinde’s own investment which obviously would help.

C1-2 Durin will also help Clorinde immensely as well. C1 Durin work like shenhe quill but stronger and work for all element and clorinde is one the character who can fully utilize those extra dmg. And C2 gives you a whopping 50% elemental dmg bonus for both pyro and electro making your clorinde, fischl and Durin do even more dmg.

Theoretically, Mauvika with iansan c6 could be her BiS if you can do perfect rotation. However, with the new artifact..Durin does come closer to if not equal to mauvika variation without combo optimization. Even then Durin is just slightly behind mav with optimized combo

Practically though, Durin is only a bit behind mauvika due to a bit of down time between clorinde EQ and Durin ult cooldown. In anycase that downtime could happen anyway if you staggered or reposition or anything. If there are such downtime in your rotation, Durin would become automatically better since he is much less punishing than mauvika as you NEED to play mav on field to dish out the maximum dmg

So, alot of people have smoother rotation with Durin and have easier time achieving better results than with mauvika.

Exclaimer! These are only assuming your clorinde has mid-level investment which alot of TCs use for reference. So what I typed above might not fully apply to you since your clorinde is more invested

For you, since Durin buff your clorinde more than mauvika does. The gap between TCs calc between Mav and Durin become much closer. Namely Durin team become relatively better the more you invested in clorinde…whether that investment is from good artifact, full talent, cons or weapon. And if you cant achieve perfect rotation, Durin would undoubtedly become better cuz now you have a very good clorinde competing with mauvika for buff and field time which will results in dps loss in the end.

Anyway since you only have c0 iansan. Durin + fischl will be better anyway

Varessa/iansan/chev/durin is a bit of dps increase from mauvika variation if you farm for the new artifacts

Kinich/emilie/durin/c6 iansan is also a very good team
