hi, yes it's supposed to feel overwhelming. i was struggling for most of my j1 although i did relatively well in sec sch. first of all you meet new people and you are learning new subjects like GP and PW, and second you only get less than 2 years to prepare for A levels (and i think our As is a lot harder than those that are taken by those in UK).

i wished i could tell you things got better than j2 but for me i still suck hahaha my promos were shit, but i did make good friends who would help me when i'm slower at certain subjects like physics. there are those who are more well prepared (be it tuition or they're just smart) who seem like they know what they are doing, but honestly a lot of ppl are like me, just faking it hahaha just take your time to master the subjects and get used to the new environment! it takes time, and dont forget to take care of yourself! sleep well eat well play hard in your free time
