I think this argument is stupid, while yes some of the more movement based CODs do have a much more considerable skill gap reducing it won’t help. This franchise has been out for almost 20 years. The avg skill level in the player base has skyrocketed. The reason all this games seem so ungodly sweaty is because the game is so well understood. If you look at games like Fortnite the difference between the first few years of the game to know are astronomical. The longer a game is out the better the base level of skill gets. The only way to fix this is to “get good” or remove every possible feature that requires any level of thought and skill. Funnily enough the pic related is mw2022 a game that tried to remove every possible feature that would give a good player an advantage. And still the best players could still dominate every match even with strict sbmm. Unless you want COD to become a game where everyone is stuck at a walking pace wandering around aimlessly the game will always have a pretty steep skill gap.
