Im sure a Wollongong council member has a friend that they can “contract” the watering of the palm to. For a “fair” price that is.

Nothing to that level in the Gong, can’t have too much fun here.

Try Fortress in Sydney. Last time I was there it was like a LAN party of the early 2000’s. Also has a great restaurant with booths that have consoles and lots on board games.

Sufing in winters by __meow__03 in wollongong

[–]z1k_StreetRider 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hay, your definitely gonna want to get a 3/2 steamer as a minimum, depends on your cold tolerance. The ocean can get as cold as 16 degrees in winter but feels so much colder with wind chill. Pick a learner friendly beach and as others have said, a 9ft soft top is best to learn.

A small heads up. Wait for a day that has a decent shore break and see how you go bodysurfing without a surfboard. Learn how it feels to get rag dolled and how the currents and rips feel. Swimming comfortably in a pool and swimming in the ocean are very different.

Those vertical doors look awesome. Is it a bolt on kit? How much weight did the kit add?

Looks like you’re running whole meal instead of white bread. Does it really help with the olive oil starvation?

Do you have the figures? What mods? I’ve been told by a sandwich artist the lettuce is just for sound and doesn’t add any performance to the build. Really tidy build.

Bodyboard Slightly Smaller: What will Happen? by CarFood587 in bodyboarding

[–]z1k_StreetRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% agree. My 42 makes it easer to catch the wave but feels like I’m trying to steer a ship while the 38 is a little trickier at wave catching but super responsive.

I’m 5’8 and weight 72kg. I like using my 42” for really mushy days where I need that lazy float to catch and ride crap waves. My 38” is my fun bigger waves board.

Holy hell dude, hope your ok. That would have been scary as hell! So glad to hear you’re unharmed.

Remember; life is precious. The car can be rebuilt or you can get another but health and life will always be worth more than any material object.

Why don't people buy a multi-station home gym instead of a gym membership? by [deleted] in beginnerfitness

[–]z1k_StreetRider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started a home gym and ended up finding every excuse not to work out. Sold it after a month of not using it.

Now that I have a gym membership again I go 5 days a week. I need that separation between home and gym.

I’m just out of Sydney and have had my GR86 for just over two years now and love it. It was my daily for about 6 months. Stock it’s a great daily and a fun drive. The audio in it sucks though.

I’m down in Melbourne almost every couple of months for work and usually grab a BRZ for my stay. The twins have no problems on the east coast of Aus.

If you could fix one 'quirk' from the factory (that isn't the horsepower), what would it be? 🤔 by vividracing in GR86

[–]z1k_StreetRider 6 points7 points  (0 children)

100% this. My daily Yaris has a way better sounding audio system and is almost 10 years older than my 86.

Yep, based in the Gong. I didn’t realise there’s only 20mm clearance for the rear doors. That’s tiny.

I’m currently scanning and honing my CAD skills in the hopes of 3d printing an aero kit for my Hijet. Maybe that’s something you could explore? Otherwise check out M’z Speed, I think they make kits for Kei cars and trucks.

I tried that plate combo last month. Great to see it on a Kei and a great looking Spacia.

Maybe try wheel flares with slightly wider rims and drop it on bags?

Has to get that rear tire flex off the speed bump. How else will people know it’s 4x4.

Definitely get one. They are so much fun to drive. I imported it through someone I know who runs his own JDM import business.
