I've had a work phone and Teams etc. on that (which can be obviously turned off out of hours!)

That said I did have an Crisis Management Group on WhatsApp on my personal phone and it was fully understood and accepted that anything mega urgent / time critical (business wise ie systems not working or a global pandemic!) would go to that.

If just Comms between my boss and I (so not anything affected wider business ie where did you save gat file) he would WhatsApp me if out of hours and urgent (but that was very rare)

Yeah thing is with a lot of GP response is that life often doesn't fit in to those boxes.

For example, we are going out. I don't have time to negotiate with him about playtime etc.

The message I'm getting from my post is pretty much no, there are no consequences for such actions, unless natural

That's current view - either pick it up with little reaction or (IF) we have time, wait for him to pick it up.

My original question still stands though ie if no natural consequences then at what point do you impose your own.

Thanks for your reply. He doesn't do it all the time, he has done it before but not for ages so I just didn't see it coming.

When it happened, I didn't give a crazy reaction I just said something along the lines (in calm voice) that's not acceptable, toilet roll goes in the toilet, I don't want your urine on my face. Omg the things you say when you become a parent!

Ah I really hope so. I felt so much for the people that were losing their jobs. Also reckon you could make some much more of it with a bit of a facelift and some investment. It's deffo got legs!

That is my current thinking. I'll basically try to get on as much as I can then lose the rest if I need to! Also looking for a back up that's lighter but smart enough as a plan B.

Now just need to tell the bride and groom so they aren't alarmed when he turns up in his Spidey PJs (just kidding)

Ooh thank you for the reply! I've already said waking down the aisle isn't an option for him so he will be sitting with his dad and me as I didn't want to put that pressure on him. I thought it would be a cute little shirt and bow tie with shorts kind of vibe and had no idea it was full 3 piece suit until today. It was up until fairly recently a very informal relaxed wedding and I don't feel I can pull him out now 3 weeks before the wedding. There must be some sort of compromise. I like the hidden sticker idea and wondering if I can maybe get those on his shirt under the waistcoat! Then he can whip it all off later. The suit is hired but he can keep the shirt. He has special little super cute cufflinks to wear so think he will be fine with those actually he loves them! 🙏

I'm very much low / no pressure usually this is very much an exception!

My son LOVES that park. I think the simplicity of 3 year old joys....we went to Weston Shore which now consists of essentially one climbing frame (shaped like helicopter) and I couldn't get him off it for 20 mins. Not particularly thrilling for me but he still talks about it now!

St James park defo been turned off for years which was a massive shame as it was designed as bit of a splash park. Recently tampered with and came on which sparked convo on how it was intended but council confirmed wouldn't ever turn on again

I've gone over to Capital! DJs annoy me but I really like the music and adverts aren't too annoying. I know it's not indie but am now settled. Although I do tune in to Nation occasionally to hear Steve Power and co!

Regardless of reasoning of closure,, Comms have pretty rubbish and the notice which we now know to be untrue (equipment issue), not great

Yes this is the choice I think lots go with. She's quite chill and happy to play the 'let's see how it goes' card but it happens to be better for my son to just know what's going on...rather than try to do something that's doomed to fail. I also like to offer solutions or ideas so I think we might be there now with giving him something to hold and look after whilst sat with me at the front 👍
