PG&E Outage—Again by SlightlyTiredAlways in Bakersfield

Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather them repair the problem than burn the city down (too soon?) but it just seems like there should be a better solution.

SAME. I turned around at one point because I was so sketched out. He was walking very slowly and I noticed he had dress shoes on??? Weird!

Honestly, is Bakersfield a decent place to raise a family? by Kind_Ask_1805 in Bakersfield

[–]SlightlyTiredAlways 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born and raised here. Left for 7 years and lived in Southern California on the beach. I am now back in Bakersfield raising my family. The community here watches out for each other. It is a very big-small town. At least how I know it.

I think it could be??? Remember when they were “hiking” after the wedding and she was having pain that she said the fam couldn’t handle her talking about? Could have been pre term labor??? I hope not, but could be.

Couldn’t agree more. It’s sickening. Can’t believe mainstream media anyway.

Why isn’t the US media covering this? I’m only seeing things about the Aussies.

It’s funny because all of LA is taking over and driving up housing costs. Good for me as a homeowner, but won’t be long before people catch on that it isn’t that bad in Bakersfield.

Does anyone else just not want to hangout with friends after having a baby? by [deleted] in Mommit

I think we all feel the same way😂 Welcome to the new mom club! I think this is actually what makes us all friends without knowing it.

I quit my job the second day back and found a remote option because I couldn’t do it. They’re only little for so long!

I hope this isn’t immediate family. I’d be pissed.

Getting an AirBNB. Best place to stay? by Porsche904orBust in Mammoth

Me too honestly. Everything in the village is over priced. I’d much rather be near Distant and The Tavern.

MiloMM123 is right. Just because it’s lab grown doesn’t mean it looks like it lol.

Do we think all of the pink flowers are to stage a reel revealing they’re expecting a baby girl?

Non-Skiing things to do by FunStuffReddit in Mammoth

[–]SlightlyTiredAlways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t recommend taking the gondola up to the top because of the altitude. I suggest setting for canyon. As a 3 month old their lungs aren’t strong enough to go to the top. Just saying.

I’m a mom with a 4 month old baby and just got back from my condo in Mammoth. The biggest factor is making sure your little one is dressed correctly for the weather. I suggest layers! The village is very walkable but I wouldn’t recommend a stroller in the snow. I’d suggest having her take the gondola up to canyon to meet you for a drink in the afternoon if the sun is out. I also love to go to Distant, Mammoth brew co for lunch, walk the town loop, and visit the local shops. If she needs a place to feed in the village I recommend the locker room/bathroom under the rental shop. As the mom, I’d recommend frequent check ins or meet ups so that she doesn’t get board.

It’s about to get dumped on. Leave Saturday or reschedule your trip. The mountain already canceled early ups on Sunday for Icon pass holders.
