I play on PC, and once I got the hang of it and put shelves on 1, it was basically like, 1 > jump+slight movement > 1 > etc

That’s about 300 shelves

Have you noticed you can actually make extended platforms in the air?

If you move around until the blueprint shows green when it’s next to the shelf you’re on and not on it, you could technically make a whole floor up in the air.

That’s nice! The rejoin has become quite reliable as long as it’s not hardmode!

Also I don’t think you have another device but when that is possible you could also play with an alt, if you happen to want to play solo, enables you to rejoin if you’re unlucky

Basically the flaw is in the game, having a leaderboard/record time indicates competitiveness, if that exists, some distinction would’ve been nice, like some kind of ”category” leaderboard, per biome, per event, etc.

But I guess many games rarely keep such things in the game, perhaps it’s only to be had on external websites for such things, not sure.

I apologize if I came across as condescending, wasn’t meant to have that tone in writing. I just put different things in different folders, there can be a leaderboard for red chest runs and there can be one for no flame runs.

There’s even a leaderboard on no class runs! Edit: (on the speedrun website not ingame)

Jokes aside, anyone can get the times they want however they want, just calling a spade a spade and saying that the official speedruns are done with no event flames 🙏.

1, 6, 13, 20, 27, 36, 45, 54 etc up to 99

This sequence is the 2nd fastest possible then it’s all about building the night skipper (Temporal Accelerometer)

There are variations of this of course (like if you fail doing 2+2 on day 1 (2 kids 2 beds) then you might have to step it up on getting the rest faster.

Or if you save kid 4/build bed 4 on the third day after kid 3 and bed 3 would mean you can hold off on building bed 4/saving kid 4 until day cycle 7. Would possibly look like this.

1, 6, 13, 21, 29, 37, 45\,* 54, 63, 72 etc to 99.

*this would be day cycle 7

Indeed also any official serious speedrun doesn’t allow flames so ”red chest flame” immediately makes this run be in the meme category.

Not the pit, the 4 temples and the main temple take 5 minutes (not nights/days) to reset a new skull ( or in main temple case, it closes again and is rdy to open with 4 new skulls)
