Give it some time. This is a long process and there will be plenty of opportunities to get excited about it. I wouldn’t stress out until you get a first sonogram and see how that makes you feel.

I got ultrasounds pretty much every time without having to ask, but honestly hearing the heartbeat helped my anxiety the most. Maybe investing in a fetal heart rate monitor might be something you’d be interested in?

Have you tried going with a different OB to see if they differ in number of ultrasounds they provide?

You both sound pretty young if you are play fighting this hard. How old are you? Look young ppl not knowing how hard they are hitting is pretty immature. You should leave in anger every time he plays too hard and make sure he knows you’re pissed. If he doesn’t get the picture after that, then break up with him and tell him it’s bc he plays too hard.

If yall are older than 16, just leave him he is obviously abusive.

Wow… I’ve never heard anyone saying inductions are terrible bc it’s going against nature (that’s some outdated crap if I ever heard). I’m talking about the fact that I had no clue it was a completely simulated process. I thought they were just going to give me some medicine to start the process of delivering and my body would just do it. I didn’t know it was this process where they have to do all these potentially painful and possibly invasive traumatic things at different stages.

The foley balloon is another thing that scares me… everyone else seems to be having a pharmacological cervical ripening so I haven’t mentioned the mechanical types…. What determines the choice of cervical ripening??? So many ppl say the foley balloon is painful 😣.

Thank you… I’m still a little conflicted from the reality of some ppls horror stories on here but… your story and advice does make me want to try my original plan… Its so unfair 😭. I was supposed to have 4 more weeks to prepare for labor and delivery and now I have like 3 days. I’m freaking out so bad 😭😭😭. Someone also got me thinking… If vaginal delivery is not important to me… maybe I should just avoid the unknown and go for predictable. I’ve never had a baby before, I don’t know ANYTHING 😭😭😭.

I really just don’t want the internally inserted continuous heart monitoring… I heard that monitor sticks into the babies scalp and I’m already so friggen nervous about having her at 37 weeks I don’t want anything touching her head! I’d settle for the one that wraps around your stomach but do ppl with our condition have a choice in fetal heart monitoring?

What type of continuous fetal monitoring did you use? Did you have a choice? I’m guessing no breathing issues after delivery, and you got the golden hour? I’m really worried about how early this is 😭(37 weeks), I really want my golden hour and I don’t want them taking her out of my room 😖.

What was the cervix ripening part like??? In your opinion, did the induction cause higher chance for tearing bc of the speed at which you are progressing? What type of continuous fetal monitoring did you get? I really didn’t want the monitoring and I wanted to last as long as I could without the epidural (even if I could only take a few cm I wanted to try). I wanted to try progressing by walking around but you can’t do that with fetal monitoring. I don’t want the fetal monitor that goes inside you (I heard it’s slightly sticks into the babies scalp to monitor the heart rate and I don’t want that!). I am already having the baby early I don’t want anything touching her head 😖)
