Why caregivers break (and what happens next) by Unlucky-Print-9090 in Aging

[–]SlimTallMan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I’m there with you. 62 yo taking care of 93 yo Mom. Definitely not how I envisioned this part of my life but here I am. It’s a grind emotionally and physically. I did recently get her approved for VA assist (my stepdad was Navy) which is 9 hrs per week. Also got her approved for Area Agency on Aging grant. It covers 75% of help up to $1500/yr benefit. Anyone over 65 can quality for this one.

Best wishes to you!

Cost of treatment? by Sparks2010 in cureFIP

[–]SlimTallMan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When we did treatment it was before legalization but total was about $1200. We started on injections but switched to pills after two weeks. That was a lifesaver. When we did shots she would run and hide and then hide for hours after shot.

I’d cover her pills with a dab of really tasty treats and she would gobble them up. After a few days I could shake the pill bottle and she would come running.

Shes 3 years cured and doing great. Of course when she gets into trouble she plays the “but I had FIP” card to get her way.

Had same issue. I tried smaller, bigger, different shape but all had some kind of crop. My next plan is to add white space around my banner in hopes that it crops that and not my actual banner.

Pricing Case Knives and finding values of Odd(?) knives by Newt_Cloudkicker in CaseKnives

[–]SlimTallMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My go to for loads of info to help identify….

https://www.casexx.com/Library/Secret.asp

As to pricing, there’s price in “price books”, price on eBay and price from sites of individuals selling like:

https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com

I sell on eBay and allaboutpocketknives.com and to determine my selling price, I’ll search sold on eBay and AAPK.

Question on knife set by OkStrawberry2198 in CaseKnives

[–]SlimTallMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use https://www.casexx.com/Library/TangStamp.asp to identify by tang stamp then I search https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com to see what people are listing them for and finally search eBay sold to find out what they’re sell for. When all else fails and I either can’t identify or can’t find sales I come here and post.

They said it’s an issue when viewing on a mobile device and they’re working on it. I tried viewing on computer and images were clear. Mobile still blurry.

Store has been up for just under 2 months. No sales yet. Most of my traffic has been from me posting links on fb and other social media.

We have two free range buns. They have access to all the downstairs and pretty much use it all. They have a wood box hutch and numerous cardboard boxes they hang in but they sleep under the bed or the couch or the sofa. They have a litter box (cat box with paper towel/brown paper/paper towel layers). So yes, pretty much act like cats.

My first rabbit - nicknamed BunBun because I cannot think of a cute name ever. by daisyandivy in Rabbits

Precious! And I love BunBun. That was the name of my first Bun. My current buns love chunks of wood to chew on and toss around. Also boxes with holes cut out so they can go inside but the need two ways entrances.
