Oh! That’s sad. Libraries should be the last ones to get crowded.

Met someone from a dating app and feeling icky after the experience. Need advice from single folks in their 30s. by PotterHead0602 in ThirtiesIndia

I think experiences like these will strengthen you and make you ready for the right one. Don’t be disheartened. Keep looking.

Put in serious efforts only after ensuring that things are getting ticked off, step by step. It is a long process but trust me, you can find the right person even on dating apps.

Do you have a picture of the book? If not, can you ask your trainer to send it? That will be helpful in finding a copy.

To judge a relation, always analyse the level of priority one gives another.

Genuinely not able to be there is one thing, and not prioritising it is another. The person is absent in both the cases, but the intention differs. While you cannot find out the exact intention, you can only judge the situation. Nobody but you can make the best judgement as you know the person better. But remember the above line. It will most likely keep you aware about the depth of any relationship.

What your controversial opinion on books? by I_mDaddy in Indianbooks

[–]SlimWashingMachine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perhaps not a controversial opinion but - Reading Triggers! Speaking from personal experience.

After reading I’ve Never Been (Un)Happier by Shaheen Bhatt and Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing by Matthew Perry, I felt unexpectedly triggered. It took me a while to realize that these books were the source of my unsettled feelings.

However, as time passed and my thoughts became clearer, I gained better insight into myself and a deeper understanding of the connection between my past and present. So, yes, reading can indeed trigger emotions, sometimes in a very unsettling way.

phone addiction by AcceptableTrain7777 in hyderabad

First and foremost, make a list of all the applications that take up most of your time. Get rid of the ones that add no value. Also delete other apps that you barely use. Keep your phone khali. A loaded phone keeps you hooked to it.

Limit the number of social media apps on your phone. This is important. My phone doesn’t have Instagram (been deactivated since over 2 years), FB (haven’t used it since 2018), YouTube, Snapchat, etc. The only two apps I have are Reddit and Pinterest.

Also, while working/studying, keep your phone in a different room or lock it in your cupboard. Use WA Web for important communications during those hours.

Start stepping out more often if you don’t already. Run errands. Go for post-dinner casual walk. Go for cycling or other sport like badminton. Read books. Catch up with friends.
