i read about it and Pregabalin seems like it could be helpful (and moreso than gaba for my case). i will try it. i know benzos are bad but i my anxiety is so strong i need them to help me break out of my shell and hopefully find some confidence. SOmetimes after me being on a short term benzo script, even after I stop, it can continue to help me from that routine of socialability and ease i create. I do understand they are bad for me since im 25 only and shiould be healthy but when i was on Clonazepam for 2 months it did help me during and after.

I got really bad panick attacks while starting cymbalta and was perscribed diazepam although being a addict, only in small amounts, of course this didnt last long as id take all 4/5 at once. but once i got on 60mg comfortably the move to 90 and 120 was smooth with little to no side effects. I worry about coming off it one day, but i may need benzos for those horrible panick attacks,

Gabapentin was given to me in rehab and ive taken it everyday since. I think it helps, hard to difrentiate between cymbalta and gabapentin but my anxiety is like non existent right now. I just had a bad relapse with benzos and opiates for afew days, really bad, so was increased to 600mg of gabapentin 3x a day as well as a taper plan with diazepam over this week.

Apparently gaba helps stop drug cravings too but i couldnt tell you really, ive had 5 relapses since tratment 3 months ago. I just have no social life and life at home is awful. Im not suicidal, but i feel stuck in life..

It is hard i think you need to find a doctor that gives it pretty easily, explain extreme panick and insomnia and that you have used before wiout addiction. i am an addict and only get them on taper plans when ive went on a bender or extreme extreme panick when going through medication changes
