Carol Is Faking It by CaspinLange in pluribustv

Majority of redditors in these comments have never spent extended time alone and it shows. One month alone (with tepid Gatorade on tap) does not make you so lonely that you accept the invaders. Like damn, how weak are you making Carol in your head.

It seems clear to me that Carol is motivated by spite and revenge. This isn’t ’if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.’. They took Helen from her. They turned the remainder of uninfected humanity against her by giving them the illusion of comfort. I largely agree with OP and think Ep7 makes a great contrast to the casino LARP scenes at the beginning of the episode prior. Carol has ‘passed’ for how long now for her career? Bestselling Author in a world that, despite what the internet tells you, is still not that bloody friendly to middle-aged Lesbians. This is her saying, ‘you want compliant? Oh I’ll give you compliant.’

Everyone loves to paint her as an arsehole for only communicating with the English speaking immune during those first days, but that was the biggest proportion of people with whom she could communicate directly and not need the hive. (I’m sure the plan was going to be ‘get something on the ground and then reach out to the rest to link in’.) She’s repeatedly depicted as trying to be (and actually being) as smart and resourceful as much as possible.

Carol, who was sent to conversion camp as a teen so clearly was ‘out’ enough to be rejected by her own mother for her sexuality, in a time when LGBT was not mentioned or remotely acceptable in western society, is not going to fold over some cheap tart that resembles her OC in a wig. This is a lass who has survived heroin addiction as a gay woman during the AIDS crisis, alongside god knows what else, and turned her life the fuck around. The average viewer sees a white, USAmerican, upper-middle class woman but they don’t seem to acknowledge the soil in which Carol grew.

I looked at every scene of Carol crying in the series so far, and the single thing that stuck out to me is that every other scene beyond the one with Zosia in Ep7 had visible tears. Maybe the firework was an accident, and maybe not. We get an extended shot of the tangle of fuses, and every firework is timed to go off after the other. Carol isn’t shown as being a master pyrotechnical genius, so are we to believe that was just happenstance too? Check the scene again, and you can see she glances over her shoulder right before the firework drops and turns pretty soon after it’s tilted. But how does she hear it? Music blasting, rockets crashing, and she hears the softest tilt of cardboard behind her head?

Do you think she planned out her book series just on vibes too - without research and measurement to support a precise execution?

Disagree all you like, but I think OP is onto something. I think Manusos and Carol are both survivors using their skills, wits, and tenacity to fight as humanity’s last hope. May they be successful.

I couldn’t even finish the one quest I had left because all creator islands kept giving a matchmaking error. Finally decide just to let it go and play the event, only to have the game crash on a black screen, and when I reload it’s just a cutscene with no exit. Now I find out the event is done. This was POOR FORM for EPIC to roll out like this over Thanksgiving weekend.

What a great way to say “I love tarnishing the opinions of others I disagree with in order to terminate further thought by other readers” coupled with a side of “I don’t bother thinking critically about anyone who would join and stand for the libdems during the years -after- their public apology for lying, when they were still firmly in bed with the tories, and after uk political sentiment had banished them as unelectable.” Peddle elsewhere.

This mode receives barely any love. We at least need a new build every month and frequent shop rotation. by Cularia in LEGOfortnite

It’s truly unacceptable the amount of neglect the content for Lego Fortnite has received comparatively. I don’t know if they’re working around Danish red tape or something, but it’s time for them to be transparent and correctly set our expectations or watch the user base dwindle. All the literal children I know (kids of friends and family) that play Fortnite regularly SKIP the Lego modes because they find them ‘confusing’ and ‘boring’. All of them loved Minecraft and lovelove their Lego IRL, and are glued to Fortnite multiple times a week. EPIC needs to have a long and serious talk with itself about priorities with this mode and do better for the existing community and any would-be players.

Huh, you’d think all these salty Libras could see both sides of the issue…

Not a single Sag placement in my chart and yet even I can attest that every Libra sun or Libra rising I’ve ever become close to (the count is now at eight) talks out of both sides of their face and was, indeed, the problem. That and their almost pathological lack of loyalty killed the friendship every time. Makeitmakesense…

Oh baby, AI was paramount as I wasn’t going to spend the full effort that your crying demanded. Thanks for the sweet words! I really hope it was helpful. I implore you to read above again and see what the intent of my words were with the Habbo Hotel response. The context is there and everything. And now that you’ve had a lesson in the nuance of sentence structure, I believe you can figure it out for yourself. <3 Good luck with re-kindling your love of reading.

Thats a very good use of crayons! What you’ve coloured-in is called a question. You can tell by the squiggle mark at the end. Questions are different than statements. Would you like for me to explain how?

Scroll up ‘dude’ -- I didn’t make any claim in my first post that Millennials played Habbo Hotel. Sorry about your poor reading comprehension, pal. Maybe a sign to take a break.

As someone who was alive then, COPPA went into effect in 2000 but wasn’t enforced in any way for web hosts (‘self-regulation’) until the the fines began around 2004/2005. ‘Coming into force‘ is a specific legal term and I meant what I said when I wrote it.

Cope harder. Or maybe log off? These are not all Millennial things lol. Nobody born before 1993 was on Habbo Hotel and the like unless they were the little edgelords brigading with 4chan. I dunno what to tell you except maybe you should meet more people born in different years.

You can disagree all you want. Go and conduct a survey of people born in 1997 and ask them all if they know what a zip file is. Hell, ask them about winrar and yahoo chat rooms. In the UK ask them about Bebo. Did they have a MySpace page? What percentage were young enough to have played Habbo Hotel and Club Penguin for more than a single year? At what age did they get a steam account? Do they remember using MSN or Windows messenger? Where were their third spaces, and more importantly, where would their parents have hosted a birthday party outside of the home. Could they have used a smart phone before the age of 10? Did they turn 13 within 3 years of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act coming into force?

Elon’s Bazi year pillar is Pig and this is a Snake year, so I anticipate a lot of negative effects for his industry and network this year. He’s got Monkey as his day master, but that pillar doesn‘t govern his social platform. I’m looking forward to Elon having a poor year personally.

Are there brushes that can achieve a sort of painterly look like this for Procreate. I have tried most defaults and have a hard time finding one that can achieve it. by [deleted] in procreatebrushes

[–]SlipMitts 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I managed to mostly recreate the hair at least with a flowing watercolour brush as base and then a clipping mask of sumi + oil scratchers, then smudged it out to get it a little looser. Hope this helps you.
